Before launching his super villain career, Dr. Abomination was a billionaire industrialist magnate. However, money was just never enough for him. He desired immortality as the president of the USA and his studies led him to examine the occult and necromancy to channel spirits to do his bidding. He is now possessed with one goal - to take over 'Merica by raising undead zombie voters so they can vote for him and he can attain the presidency! However, before this can happen, he commends a cadre of super villains to distract Captain Freeagle while he concentrates on his ultimate aims and builds up his spiritual powers.

As a member of the Illuminati or the 'Invisible Hand', he is rarely ever seen and bides his time, waiting the the right moment to channel the spirits of the undead to do his bidding.
