Unggies meaning ungulates.

Meet some of the players I created for the EFBL (European Furry Basketball League). The EFBL is similar to the RL Euroleague and is affiliated with the FBA (Furry Basketball Association). So here's a little tidbit about each player:

Almos Rigo: Almos is an Hungarian Black Swan that plays for Metalac Belgrade. He's 19 and stands 7'0" and 242lbs. This is his rookie season with the EFBL, but has played in both high school and university back in Hungary. Despite his lower weight, Almos is an opposing figure on the court due to his blazing red eyes, large wingspan, and aggressive on-court attitude.

Mus'ad El-Hashem: Mus'ad is a Kiang of Arabic descent, born and raised in Israel. He is a 20 year old swingfur standing at 6'9 and weighing in at 244lbs, though his trainers all know he will add more weight with training as he came from a family of little wealth. Mus'ad is entering his second year with the EFBL, having started at the age of 18, and will likely play for the Israeli team out of Tel Aviv.

Isa Blanco: Isa is a Warlander stallion of high standing, coming from two proud and pure lines of two very different families. His dam is a Friesian, born and raised in Friesland, Netherlands. In her family, it is tradition to grow out ones mane and tail to ridiculous lengths, and it's a tradition that Isa was happy to carry on (though he tries to keep it manageable). His sire was a hot-blooded Andalusian from the heart of Spain; his family took pride in their carriage and the power and grace for which their breed is known. Isa has embraced and inherited all these things. Despite being 19, he is focused on his basketball career, always listening closely to instructions given and always doing his best to do his team and his family proud on and off the court. He was born in Spain, but his family moved to Friesland when he was young, and there he's been ever since. At only 19, Isa is just entering his second season with the Amsterdam Royals EFBL team. He's seen modeling the team kit here. When playing, his mane and tail are meticulously braided and bound to keep them safe and out of the way. On a day to day basis he chooses whether he wears them up or down. He stands at 6'8" and 260lbs, though may grow a little more yet.

Basil Alfarsi: Basil is an Israeli-born Scimitar-horned Oryx that plays as a center in the EFBL. Although not currently selected for a team, he'll likely be playing for Tel Aviv alongside Mus'ad. Basil is 23 and stands at 6'11" and 280lbs, though he often jokes about 20lbs of that just being his horns. Although it has been suggested many times by trainers and coaches for him to have his horns surgically removed, it would be considered an offense to his family to do so and thus he declines the mere thought. Basil has been playing with the EFBL for three seasons now and is eager to get into his next one.

Prabhu Narang: Yes, Prabhu might attack you. For being a prey species, Prabhu shows an aggressive personality. Especially for an Indian-born Sambar deer that has spent the last two years of his life playing professional-league basketball. Standing at 6'11" and 260lbs, Prabhu is a large forward, that could likely play to center with training. Prabhu has been known for causing altercations on and off the court, as well as fiercely defending himself when pred species try to intimidate him. Let's just say that he ain't no Bambi.

Jarek Svoboda: Jarek is a Czech-born Fallow Deer of an odd, piebald coloration. Jarek is excited to enter his very first season with the EFBL playing for the FB Davos Flyers team out of Switzerland at the age of 18, playing as a forward for them. Standing at only 6'6" and 220lbs, he's on the smaller end for a forward, but doesn't let that stop him. He has a real go-getter attitude and is always looking to make his mark.
