As far as I was concerned, life before Jade was practically non-existant. I remember only patches of it; hanging out alone on the steps of run down churches, smoking packs a day in hopes of developing lung cancer and dying as young as possible, and drinking until I my liver was practically begging for death. I welcomed the thought of tragedy, though, and never let fear wreak havoc in my mind. What did I have to keep me there at that time? Not love. Not care, nor hope. In all of my 18 years of life on earth, I had yet to find on single person who cared about me, or anything worth caring about...That is, until I met...Him....
