The last time I rendered my sona was July of 2013, seen here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11342923/ (first picture I uploaded here, actually)
I decided to change that, and draw a similarly-themed picture.. also was just trying to distract myself, really. Rendering is good for melting your brain.
Wings are kinda too small, or at least look it... probably some sort of optical illusion, idk.

I call it a render because I render out the details the best I can - it's also what I call fully detailing something on my commission page here. Sorry for the confusion, I've seen others use the term and I sort of adopted it ^^;

Yeah, that seems to be the biggest barrier people have. I'd love to lower my prices and make my art more available to a wider public, but the issue is that my artwork takes so long to do - for example, this took +/- 15 hours and that's just on a single character, never mind any sort of complex background. Technically at my state's minimum wage, I should charge $150 for it.. which I find kind of ridiculous and therefore don't do.
I can't afford commissions from artists very often - if at all - either, and it really sucks if I see someone with a style I really like, but they're just so expensive.. or at least out of my budget, anyway.

I've seen you do a few of these night flights (three or so?), I get the impression that you (or Rackie) finds them quite appealing! ^^
Your rendering is amazing! All the creases and stretch marks (what are they called?) on the wing membranes, each scale having it's own treatment of lighting and shading drawn in by you... so much effort, and it shows! Well done But please, your drawing hand demands that you take care of it xD

I looove night flying scenes, they're my favorite! I generally associate my sona with the moon and stars despite her daytime colors, I just love the night sky and space. ^^
