What a stunning blue eye he has. =O Are the spots appearing in his crest a bit like the thinning/balding of hair on the head of an older person, or one of many cosmetic changes with inter-racial genes, or perhaps no explanation at all? xD
I imagine Tyg and Rusk have undergone a massive learning curve and transition in the last three months since meeting Nezrik... perhaps it would be like, North Korea becoming a free democracy and the people learning what the internet is, or that Kim isn't a god that can do all sorts of magic amazing things. idk xD

Yeah, Svithis has some really intense eyes. I feel it makes his stare a bit more colder and direct, it's hard to avoid those eyes!
The spots in the crest are holes from many years of being alive. Svithis is a rather old dragon, something around two hundred or so, so he's bordering that 'elder' age. It's just wear and tear, really, but the missing first crest is an old war scar.
For Tyg and Rusk, they'll be narrating their training soon enough so you'll see how far they've come. :)

Basically, yep. Dragons can live from 200-600 years old. Dragons usually end up dying from disease, injury, infection, or accidents rather than actual old age. Svithis here is actually still just considered an older adult - he isn't considered an Elder until he's 300. Around that age diseases and injury become a real issue, though, as the dragons get so large their immune systems and bone structure begin to weaken under the stress.
