For
because he needs creatures. So here's a little info:
The Corvukis (Koar-Vuh-Kiss) is not related to any real world creature. Its make-up is entirely magical based, brought into existence by clan mages generations ago.
It was originally formed as foodstock and modes of transportation, but now has many more conveniences such as being a detector of spiritual energy, guard or sentry, battle steed or even a simple companion.
It does not need food, water, or any form of sustenance other than the spiritual energy people give off. Able to understand the feelings of people by absorbing their excess energy, it has no will to defy its human masters.
The Corvukis is also unable to breed, which means that no time will be put aside for mating season where it cannot be ridden. It has no gender and no lower orfices.
The mouth opens, but the gullet is so narrow that very little can fit inside of it. Anything ingested by it will be broken down with its spiritual power and dissolved into further energy.
Its mouth is devoid of any fangs, only three rings of rubber-like nubs in the back of the throat, much like a Cuisinart. Its claws as well are quite rubbery, and may look dangerous but are in fact mostly used for grip.
The horns follow the same rule and are relatively soft, and don't grow longer than the ears at most, usually fully grown in when it is six months old.
When it is young, like the picture, it is required to have leg braces, owing to the fault of their very brittle legs. Once it reaches adult-hood, at about a year, it should be able to run without worry.
The eyes see in terms of spiritual energy, making it able to spot people, animals and magical areas from great distances away. It is a great asset to have in darkness.
The color of the fur and eyes reflects the majority of certain emotions gathered through spiritual energy, and changes as years pass. Each color constitutes certain feelings. Orange is vigilance, and the yellow is joy. Combination of colors and patterns are also affected.
Though not able to breed, the can be 'created' by merely purchasing the creation talisman at a shop that sells them; one will never see a truly wild Corvukis, though strays are possible. Their lifespan is anywhere from twenty to forty years.
