Woo! The other headset mic test has great audio... to a point. It has 'sqwerp' sounds in it that I can't find the cause for. It's not when the mic is being overdriven or at time indexes. It's only this mic that does as a line in item. I may want to go for a nice USB mic as that is digital start to finish. The first recording was USB and didn't have that issue.
Anyways, playing around with how long a recording is for what size since FA has a 10Mb limit. This one was approximately 1mb / min it looks like. I may have to do more of these later.

I think the cheaper mike is better but the "squerp" sound gives the impression of a silly Monday morning talk show. Also, you should reply to our comments this more often. My ears were trying to muffle the sqwerp. :)
The noise happens when there is no active extremes going on too. Dead air and it happens. I'm watching the levels and I'm staying well within the range. I wish I could find an option to disable that.
I may just have to try a different USB mic. I prefer headsets as I can work on other stuff and have less issues with mic distance.

I do tend to speak rather quickly, and it's surprising to hear just how fast until you hear it coming back at you. I'll be working to slow that down a bit. It's something I've noticed during training of hew hires at my job.
