I recently found some Attack on Titan episodes that weren't part of the main series. Two contained a glimpse into Levi's past not detailed in the manga.
Suddenly what he said to Eren made much more sense. No spoilers beyond that.

This is referenced directly from a screenshot. Certain elements were slightly traced to fix aspects of the face that weren't quite right but it was mostly re-sizing. This was just for fun after all.
