This is my current counted cross-stitch project. I've been working at it on and off for the last 3 years, but since I'm home this summer at my parent's place, I've had more time to work on it.

Its the first time I've taken pictures of a project as I've worked on it. I'm looking forward to being able to look back after its done and compare the different stages.

At this point I have only finished the main parts of the samurai's clothing. The red areas consist of 5 different stitch colours all made through combining one strand of two different thread colours. The purple areas consist of 4 different stich colours, again all made through the combination of two different thread colours. Black is also present, mostly within the purple but also some in the red. Last there are three thread colours within the area where the purple and red blend towards the bottom, each made of one strand of a red and one strand of a purple. Keeping the colours organized while I worked was certainly a challenge.
