This counted cross-stitch picture was completed in 1999 after the smaller Sorceress was completed.
It was a great project for two reasons, first the black aida cloth was a challenge to work with; I always needed a good source of light. Second was my main reason for selecting the kit and that was the number of colours used. The more variety in colours the more I like a kit because it means more of a challenge it is.
The only downside was it was my first time using gold metallic thread and I love the look but damn, is it ever annoying to work with as it tends to frey as you stitch.
