Tiny little creatures that feed off of other beings dreams.
On average they reach up to 25 cm, though it isn't uncommon to come across a few that are between 15-35 cm. They have small ears, paw feet, hairless wings and face, and their eyes are typically closed. You do not want to antagonize a Loamata to the point that it will open it's eyes, thus putting anyone that gazes upon them into a coma. Only another Loamata can awaken one who was unfortunate enough to look into the Loamata's eyes.
The more dreams they consume, the fluffier their coat becomes. They shed their coat once a year, to build their nests for their Summer slumber.
They have Baleen for teeth, as it helps them filter the dreams they consume. They have wings that have a similar texture as pancakes. With these wings they are not only able to fly, but they are able to extract ones dreams by placing their singular pads over one's forehead.
The shape of their mouths can range anywhere from a curved beak like appearance, to a nubby little muzzle, to a long elegant snout. The Loamata's that consume dreams at night have a cool pastel color scheme, Those that consume daydreams have a warm color schemes, and those that consume nightmares have cold colors for their skin and fur pigment. Their fur comes in Speckled, Piebald, Striped, and solid patterns. :)
