So that's how it all started. But unfortunately for Karen they stayed together, though I'm betting it's more that she came to like Kinka rather than being stuck with her. It kinda sucks for Kinka though, it seems like she can't relax or she'll change back to Karen, which is the cause of that other problem.
They definitely adjust to each other over time and cease resenting each other. It's not like they hate each other forever, Karen doesn't have nearly that much internalized self-loathing.
And that's not exactly how it works. Kinka can relax and enjoy herself as long as Karen isn't actively trying to take back over and Kinka can also maintain a certain amount of hold while she relaxes. Really, it's plot driven who can take control.

Yeah, I simplified it because psychological mechanics are boring and not many people want to listen to me explain it. Plus if I explain it and then accidentally break one of the rules, I will be the fool. So better to leave them ephemeral.
