In my story, "New Animal Life", in another dimension called MartervaSurvive-Earth (http://fav.me/d97xon1), the Mongoose/Mink Family survived an apocalypse that caused animal life to be endangered by transforming most of the animal population into monsters. However, despite civilization being endangered, the monsters live equally with the remaining animal survivors and all of the other monsters. In this strange new world, the Mongoose/Mink Family live as a cave family with the monsters they befriended and battle any evil monsters that may endanger their new friends.
