I want to kill someone... But! I get a little feeling about the soldier to be a be concerned about Markis; about telling him it would be better to not approach the inmates, for his own sake.
I mean, you are in the most secure penitencary in the world! You surely won't have to deal with a candy's burglar.

I have to admit, I love your idea for a harsh sci-fi prison. Extremely restrictive hi-tech restraints, hi-tech security, heavily-armed, sadistic guards, and no hope of release. Can't get any darker than that.
But, poor Markis sure doesn't look like he belongs there. Have to wonder what kind of a crime he committed to be sent to it (or if he even committed a crime at all).
