One day in Canterlot High, the newest student Rose Bloom saw that Fluttershy was really good with pets of all sort, and she tried to learn more about her, soon Learning that FLuttershy was working at the local animal shelter, Rose Bloom always wanted a pet to herself, but she didn't wanted to have something too "common" she went to that animal shelter and didn't saw anything of interest.
The day after she went she asked Fluttershy during lunch break if there was some "exotic" pet at the shelter, Fluttershy looked if someone was listening to them and when she was sure no one did, she went and told Rose Bloom that the shelter didn,t had anything exotic enough, but that she trained some pet at her home. She told Rose Bloom to come with her after the classes.
Arrived at Fluttershy's home she saw what she meant there was dozens of pets that was too exotic to be sold in the animal shelter. Fluttershy let out her bunny Angel out if her backpack. Rose then saw it, that cute fluffy tailed black furred cutie of a skunk, she asked Fluttershy if that skunk was ready to be adopted or not. Fluttershy looked at it for an instant like she was thinking of something, and then... "I would have preferred to keep her to myself, but since you seems to love her so much... yes she is ready to be adopted." Fluttershy said as she walked to go take it in her arms. Coming back to Rose Bloom with her in her arms.
Rose Bloom sat on the grass in Fluttershy's backyard and FLuttershy posed the cutie on Rose Bloom's lap. "Such a cute little one" Rose Bloom said as she started caressing the skunk on her forehead before adding a "Think I'll name you Diamond, because for me, you're more precious than diamonds to my eyes."
Fluttershy sat next to Rose Bloom as she said that it was such a perfect name for her.
