This drawing here shows the god-emperor Farian sitting with his beloved Eithnarian Guard, Surroth, standing behind.
For a thousand-generation, the Eithnars, who were eunuchs, ruled the Rothmenian Empire with an iron fist in the name of protecting their god-emperors. In fact, the emperors were powerless puppets, and it was so until Farian ascended the Solar Throne. Farian achieved what his predecessors had failed; he'd regained temporal power as emperor.
Farian had wooed Surroth and helped this lowly guard in secret to succeed to the office of Lord Marshal of the Eithnarian Guard. Clever Farian instructed Surroth all the while. The puppeteer was now the puppet's puppet. Although Lord Marshal, Surroth was devoted to his god-emperor. Farian reciprocated that love, despite the protests of his empress Asvian.
Their love was an open affair. Many in Farian's court viewed this as a sign of decadence of the times, and evil omen of the Empire's ruin.
The jealous empress conspired with the ministers and servants of the chambers to kill Surroth, and succeeded. Farian withered away in despair, and the Empire quickly fell into ruin in its inertia and barbarian invasions.

thank you. i'm supposed to develop it further to make it a complete painting, but i gave up on it halfway. as of now i'm rearranging the composition and enforce a stronger subject. a pitch black setting and background with Surroth and Farian caressing in the foreground, while the empress Asvian in the midground stared jealously. neo-classical, full figures draped in fabrics with intricate folds and golden embroidery. what do you think?
That sounds awesome to me!
I must also say that in my opinion part of the sexiness and elegance comes from knowing when to leave something "only halfway" done. This picture, for example, pleases my eye because the style seems to come so easy and the lines are so strong that no further shading is required. The figures look strong and confident because the color areas are flat and well defined. They look like two heraldic figures in a coat-of-arms or something... :)
