My birthstone turned Crystal Gem, Topaz.

Her summon weapon is the Dadao/Katana hybrid sword as usual, except that it can also perform energy slash projectiles, and she can dual wield a pair of them on occasions. Other abilities include expertise on hand-to-hand combat, energy punch (and kick) projectiles, and a ponytail hair whip (with stretching capabilities).

As for her fanon backstory, I'd imagine her being one of Rose Quartz loyal followers during since the war against the Homeworld Gems thousands of years ago, and was especially good friends with Amethyst after she first joined the Crystal Gems. She was also the last of the Gems to 'fall' in action and disappear forever, resulting in how it became just Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Rose Quartz hereafter.

Decades have passed since then, and in the time that came after the events of 'The Return' and 'Jailbreak', Steven and Amethyst come across Topaz visiting Beach City, with Amethyst reacting in gleeful surprise to see her again. However, Topaz acts like some regular teenage high-school girl with no recollection as a Crystal Gem, and is immediately freaked out by their reactions. Amethyst, with mixed feelings of disappointment and anger, leaves her be and trails off all frustrated. When Steven tells the other Gems of what happened, they grow curious about this and decide to stalk...I mean...find out more about her. They track her down to a town outside of Beach City and find the high school, where a school prom is taking place. Steven and the Gems are confused with 'hired chaperones' by the teachers and they use this advantage for further analysis, and they discover that Topaz is regarded as the pretentious mean girl by the other kids. Steven and Amethyst eventually find Topaz slow-dancing with a nice guy she likes, and she confesses of how she's actually somewhat insecure of how people think of her, and comes off as anti-social and mean towards others, which her boyfriend didn't mind and still loved her.

But when Topaz catches Steven and Amethyst spying on her, she throws a fit towards them. And then out the blue, some kids find some Gem 'enhancement' artifacts that turn them into hulking brutes. And during the chaos, Amethyst apologizes to Topaz and thought she was someone she knew and missed. But when she confesses some details about the Topaz she knew, Topaz herself somehow regains her memories, of being a Crystal Gem, and summons her weapon to help the other Gems to defeat the hulking brutes and remove the enhancement artifacts from them. After the fiasco, Topaz thanks the Gems for helping to protect the school kids, and they pay a visit to her home. There, they find out she has been living an immortal life (without ever noticing it) with a family line that helped raise her; and that every time she was damaged, reverted to her Gem, and reformed again, she looses bits of her memories of her past lives with the previous family members. It was a lot for her to take in, but with the comfort and support of Steven, the Gems, and her boyfriend, she cheers up and decides to turn her life around for the better. From there, her personality changes, as she is portrayed as actually being very kind, caring, and even good with children; but also a 'tough cookie' when protecting others. She also becomes a temporal ally to the Crystal Gems, and even best friends with Steven and Amethyst.

Yeah I know, the story may be a little cooky, but it would be explained a lot better in fanfic form, which depends if I can give myself time for that.
