I've not a lot of informations about this squadron excepted that it served, from its creation until the 50s with the North American T-6G Texan and was an unity of the ALAT (Light Aviation of the French Army) based in French Algeria and that their radio indicative was "museau" (muzzle) and that their aircrafts had the registration F-SFT_. It will become later the 2e Escadrille of the EALA III/9 where it certainely served with the T-28F Fennec.
The only conflicts where it was engaged at my knowledge was the Algerian War during the one of its T-28 will be shot down, the pilots had land successfully his aircraft on the belly, the pilot and the navigator were both alive but were quickly under the fire of the Algerian Resistance, struggling for their survive thanks to their pistols, they were finally saved by the commandos which came by helicopter for retrieve the both wounded airmen.

This insignia was photographed on the fuselage of a T-6G Texan of the French Air Force, registration F-AZCV, restored and fly by the France's Flying Warbirds collection, it has the construction number 182-142 and served in the USAF as a training aircraft before to be sold in 1951 to France which was in the middle of the Algerian War.
