Also, if you've made something yourself then you know every little detail that you think doesn't fit right in a particular piece you made. So usually you're your own worst critic. And if you know an art in general, then you know how to spot typical mistakes too...
That thing isn't really limited to graphical art. For example, if you're a DJ and you're mixing and fuck up a little bit somewhere, lots of people won't notice at all, or think that it was on purpose and even like it. But for you going to a club with a mediocre DJ (that most people would still find okay) can be nasty because (without even trying) you can hear every single time he fucked something up. ;)

There are so many things and basics I never really learned and so that's what I want to change. I started saving money to keep my commissions closed in January so I can spend the month working on my style without worrying about paying my rent and stuff like that.

Der Ausdruck ist einfach perfekt. Hach ja, es gibt solche Tage <'3 Ist manchmal echt schwerer sich selbst zufriedenzustellen als das Publikum. Aber auch das geht vorbei und man kann sich wieder an seinen eigenen Sachen erfreuen :3
