After a long day of trudging up the mountain and through the snow I crawled into a cluster of stunted pines....

For the last couple years I have gotten the chance to go backpacking in the mountains of Alaska. It has been quite enjoyable. This is pretty much exactly how my camp looked last year. Though, I did not have my candle lantern yet. This year I was well above the tree line when I camped, and just bedded down in the snow on the ridge top.
