Some questions:
What is the sexual dimorphism of this species like?
Also, do they have defined gender roles in their societies?

Hehe sexual dimorphism will be included in part 2 of the species sheet (which will cover their life-cycle in general)! But to answer your question, the only difference between the two genders is that the males tend to have a brighter/more colorful plumage, while all females have barred markings on their tail feathers. Males also tend to have a more flexible range of sounds they can produce; tend to be the best singers of the two genders. Otherwise, the genders are indistinguishable. Sporting cloacae, they don't even have outwardly noticeable genitalia, and there is not even gendered clothing! Their roles in society are identical, including their expected roles in child rearing :>

they're actually pierced through his beak! A kind of body modification that not many bespectacled beebs dare to endure, but it's the closest thing to contact lenses that they can get in their current era hehe! And it still requires a bit of maintenance, to ensure that nothing funny happens with the keratin growth over time. * u*

I just have a question, since I'm not an expert about birds: how do the crop and keel bone work together? I always thought the bone was in front of everything, so I'm amused to see the crop expanding. I can understand (I think) on normal birds, that have longer neck, but here?

I'm not sure about other birds, but a parrot's crop is definitely located over top of everything! You can see it best in baby birds!

http://www.justcockatiels.net/uploa.....602791.jpg?565 <--this image is pointing out where the gizzard is (a different digestive organ from the crop), but the crop itself is that fat, yellowish ball with black dots in it, at the base of the throat. The yellow and black is the last meal it had, it's quite full, so it probably just ate not long before the photo was taken! This particular bird is a cockatiel, which do not have long necks. :> Hehe, having hand reared chicks myself, I'm very acquainted with parrot crops U uU <3 When they're still being hand fed, you're always palpating and inspecting the crop for yeast/bacterial infections, or keeping an eye out for stagnant food getting stuck in it.

And it's actually cockatiels specifically that I based Kimet crop structure on! They have a characteristic sag to them that other parrot species don't have. Kimet also have a kind of S curve to their necks that's hard to see under all the feathers. If they extended their neck out, it'd be quite a bit longer than ours :D I guess you could say the crop is "cradled" by the furcula.
