The emotion and strength that comes through on this piece is just so terrifically overwhelming! It's like this fascinating evolution of serene valleys to incredible war torn peaks, and back again. I really appreciate how it's heroic, without being pompous, and somber, without being melodramatic.

When I listen to this, I'm sure I can hear someone, or something, whistling. Whistles carried by the wind? Maybe I'm looking too deeply for elements relevant to the curious tale being told.

That brass section around the 2 minute mark, with the notes that soar and the increased tempo... It's not fair. I always get all get giddy when I hear those moments in your music (Especially when you have your way with the French horns, ugh!).
