Feathers, scales, and claws - oh my!"

NOW WITH COLOR!


Pretty sure most people are familiar with the middle raptor at this point so I won't say anything about her. On the left is Claw, an original character of mine based on the Velociraptors from Dino D-Day and on the right is Takk the Leaper of Warcraft.

Originally, I was also going to include Red the utahraptor from Raptor Red and a Gendrome from Monster Hunter, but after sketching in Claw and Blue I dropped that and kept it to just these three - if I had to draw five raptors at once I'd go insane XD

Thus, Takk's the only male portrayed in the group, and the only scaly raptor amongst the trio (I fluffed Blue up because cuteness*), though he woulda had Gendrome to share his scaliness if I had included it. Maybe next time.

I wanted to portray a specific personality and look for each of them, though I think I kinda failed with Claw's - or at least her pose:
Claw - uptight and tense, like she heard/saw an approaching threat
Blue - A sort of amused/thoughtful expression
Takk - Just kinda looking over his shoulder, perhaps seeing what's gotten Claw all riled up (Not that it takes much to get her that way...)


* There was a SUPER CUTE pic of Blue feathered, that was just too damn adorable yet still fierce looking.... A friend directed me to it on Tumblr a while back, but I can't find the source anymore :L
