Well I mean, I'm still learning and trying to improve everyday, but it would be nice if I was good at art in general, so I could draw and stuff, y'know

I often have some cool ideas but when I try to create it, it just goes "blergh".

Ah, I get you. You sure can learn though. ; ) Did you ever try some 3D modeling program like Zbrush or Sculptris? Maybe it'd work well for sketching ideas.

I tried Zbrush awhile ago, but since for me it has a steep learning curve, I only used it for light model morphing.

First getting him up to speed with regular drawing might be more useful x] Remember that all dem sculpting programs aren't much use without at least some fundamentals in anatomy and drawing!

True, but sometimes it's just fun to mess around with virtual play-dough and try things (a.k.a. sculpt weenies). <w< Studying anatomy is very useful though, I'll give you that. But it can be frustrating at times. Besides, you can study anatomy without drawing if you want.
