Wohoo, after a year of nothing, this morning I actually wrote something. It's just the first part of a song (as usual). Before I finish it, I'm kinda worried I've ripped it off from somewhere. I'm always worried about that but this time it's really eating at me. If anyone has an encyclopedic knowledge of songs and can tell me if I have, that'd be helpful.
Watch out, like a few of the others it hasn't been EQed so the bass could be a little much. It's the first serious use I've found for my Alpha Juno 2.

I really like that... I like the stripped-down feel, especially at the beginning--it's definitely a sign of a good songwriter when you can do something that's simple but still interesting. That jangly arpeggiated guitar IS very REM, but that's not bad. Also, I thought your voice sounded great.
