This is what i do. i tinker ^_^
this is the mainboard to my little green Kawasaki Drum machine
i had it apart because the flat conductor cable that connects the control panel and the mainboard tore.... Ouch
after cleaning 18 holes with DIN spacing and cutting, stripping, tinning, 9 wires on both ends i started soldering new wires in place, one by one instead of a flat cable... tedious, but im good at it,
heres what i wanna do next:
this drum machine has been without a stand, or drum pads for over 15 years. i want to build a small box with 4 drum pads on it, mabey about 5 inches in diameter each, each of the circles will be wired to a part of the board,
the kick drum will be a footpedal as soon as i get around to building one or finding a sutible part to do it with.
this is the drum machine that i sampled the toms off of for "Concrete"
i took this picture simply because i wanted a cool circuitry background
=^_^= BTW Soldering is FUN
while the Drum machine says in big bold letters "KAWASAKI" it was actually manufactured by Remco toys in the 3rd week of june 1989
(according to rhe ROM/CPU chip date code)
IM A REAL NERD! YAY!
