This started as an exercise in atmospheric perspective. I just wanted to lay down some simple shapes and colors to give the appearance that the mountains were fading into the distance. As you can see, it didn't stop there and eventually became a full on piece to showcase a mountain view in a frigid environment, with a large animal overseeing it.

But at least I can (sort of) draw mountains! Now ... getting better at other landscape/background stuff ... that's another deal. ;>w>
