This is a character of mine who, though a complete and total dork, is very dear to me and who I intend on working with more often.

Yoni (full name Inyoni, not that she remembers it) is a gnoll based off of a Striped Hyena, rather than the traditional Spotted Hyena. Her people are looked down on by the Spotted, and resemble something to the ‘Untouchable’ caste in the gnoll society.

Yoni herself was traded/sold off to humans slavers at a young age, she knows little else beyond serving others and remembers next to nothing about her people beyond tales of ‘Moon Mama’ that are very precious to her. Not really the brightest candle, Yoni is still clever and generally does not forget a thing if she had been taught.

She often acts more ‘like a human’ than a gnoll (she actually sometimes has trouble speaking Gnoll rather than 'common'), although she still has gnoll eating habits (which is to say, anything and everything might be food so try it at least once). Also she has this odd tendency to go into an almost berserk-like state when attacked/provoked (she really hates it, so generally avoids confrontations if she can).

Her story ends up with her escaping her slavers and winding up among Dwarves, where she readily integrates herself in their ‘pack’. One of her duties is to act as a ‘bah-sitter’ at meetings for the Clan-Pack. The dwarves find this amusing as hell and often tag along just to watch.

Yoni generally enters the meeting, moves to her seat, gives a great “BAH!” and then sits, maintaining her serious face for all of ten seconds before reverting to her traditional ‘blep’ face/mentality.

No one really knows how to deal with this ambassador, but she has a lot of teeth so they try to keep her happy.
