been working on this for a while now aha but anyway this is Bench (the cat) and Idris (the brook trout)

Idris was god and protector of a brook until Bench caught the large trout thinking nothing of their size or the fact that it could speak and decided to eat the poor thing. Idris then using their godly powers tries to take over the cat but failed and became part of Bench instead. Thats why Bench has similar facial markings to Idris, he can also swim well with the aid of webbed fingers and fins. Idris can also appear as a large tattoo on Bench and 'swim' around on his fur though its kind of uncomfortable for Bench so Idris doesn't do it often.
