Another old Lilly pic...I TOLD you I drew her a lot.
ANyway, this was actually from a completely different story that I put her in, a sort of "origins of the pokemorphs" comic I was working on with Timothius over at dA called "Pokemon: Evolution Squared" where she was the "token human" and Pokemon trainer in the regular cast. SOmewhere I got the idea that she'd ultimately become a Dragon-type trainer, but here she still has her loyal team from the comic: the Lotad is still around, now called Spitz, along with Chomps the Trapinch and Timothius' creation, Hyper the Pichu (the "real" Hyper was a talking police-officer Raichu, but this story was going to be HIS origin as well).
The scene here was from a planned story, probably "issue" 2 or 3, which deals with the characters' differing opinions on, of all things, Pokeballs. Timothius' hothead young Raichumorph, Raichel, felt they were a twisted form of enforcing enslavement of Pokemon, partially spurred on by her latent claustrophobia, while Lilly felt it was far kinder than other forms of "ownership," such as the chained Dragonair they find on the property of a wealthy landowner. The four "heroes" end up freeing it, where it afterwards joins "Team Lilly," but neither Timothius nor I were able to come up with a resolution that didn't feel like a total cop out.
I still like this pic, though, since it's one of the only times I ever drew a full scene in one shot...although Lilly still looks off, somehow.
