Its fine man, as long as you understand that comments like that are not ok. You're allowed to have your opinion. Its not going to bother me if you do not like taxidermy, I just don't like it when people feel obligated to comment on it.

Honestly this website and the amount of people who will jump down your throat
at the sight of taxidermy or fur coats or anything of the sorts.
Didn't a fluffy rabbit once say "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all" ?

Taxidermy scares me only because my great uncle used to have a stuffed pheasant in the guest room
I'd sleep in as a little kid and the amount of times I'd wake up in the night and the pheasant overlord
would stare down at me, showing his disapproval of me.

Other than that, I don't mind it. Because there's honestly a difference between 'trophies' and taxidermy
Especially seeing the taxidermy enthusiasts on here that treat their animals and their fur with such loving care
So I don't see what their is to hate.

It just bothers me when people feel entiled to posting their option on subjects such as this. I've seen similar comments on things like herms or trans. Its just partial ignorance ;w;

Your story is, and I am sorry for saying, a tab bit funny. Its an ironic way of being a bit wary of taxidermy. I think nearly all taxidermists have a line they will not cross though... Personally it is rat pelts/mounts. It bothers me b/c I've owned many rats.

Yeah exactly, if you don't have the backbone to be polite then just go somewhere else.
Gah yeah I've seen some negative comments to herm characters in particular, and I just don't get it.
It literally takes less energy to walk away and not say anything.

No don't apologise! I told my great uncle that the Pheasant that apparently "guarded me while I slept"
really really scared me because of his disapproving look. I have never seen a pheasant hold such a
negative expression before. And yeah I get you, there's always the personal issue with certain animals.
But in all honesty, I have respect for people who manage to do taxidermy and make the animals look just as
realistic as they were when they were alive. And I think that's what spooks some people; they have to double take!

Aw, I live in England so I've never come across a raccoon in my life,
But I'm desperately in love with them and would love to pet one ;u;
