I know the name sucks, I couldn't think of anything better =P
This is my dad's Christmas present...he wanted me to do a painting of icebergs, and I thought it would be interesting to do a night scene with some northern lights.
Turned out nicer then I thought it would :) The Northern Lights took like 15 minutes to make, where as that big huge iceberg took several hours! XD
Oil paints on black 16x20" canvas.

I had to look up photos on icebergs to see if I was doing them right XD I've also discovered that painting is more enjoyable when I get to sit down too! XD
My dad already knows he's getting the painting - it's what he wanted for Christmas - and from what I understand, he's already seen the photo of it XD Of course, whether he GETS it or not depends on if the paint is dried by the time we go up to Canada for Christmas ;) LOL!

Ooooh... purty. Something tells me if I was in a scene like this, I'd spend an hour just breaking off little pieces of the iceberg with a shovel or an axe or something. Dunno why, it's just... impossible to resist breaking up ice.
... Destroying the polar ice-caps is human nature! Hahaaa!
