NOTE: The original file of this piece encountered an 'End of File' error and the file was corrupted. Similar errors exist on the backup version. I had one backup that was entirely a sketch, so I am doubtful that I will ever fully color this in as it was intended originally.

ANYWAY. This is the super huge thing I've been working on.
The Stats: Monday, June 28, 2010, 10:26:40 PM: Emblem is Started <--*-->Thursday, October 14, 2010, 7:25 AM pacific, - The Emblem [Lineart] is Finished. I do plan to color this and update the submission further rather than submit it twice.
This is probably shown at less than 25% the original document size [In download], and is the single best thing I believe I've ever done. You can tell it took me a while because the style of the scales at least varies from one dragon to the other, though in part this is intentional. Some are whimsical, and others more real, and some are somewhere in between. The symmetry is freehand, ask anyone who watched me on livestream. I know where my errors are on this, but it was a massive learning experience.
Only one dragon's scales were erased and redrawn in the end, as it was the first (and worst attempt) at scaling on the whole thing, and I felt it deserved better, otherwise they were all drawn top to right and around to the top again clockwise. Scaling came last on some, and was done before continuing to the next dragon on others (I don't remember which was which)
This will be a poster, made 20 x 30 inches at 600 PPI/res. it is massive, and at this smaller, screen friendly view, a LOT of the scales I did are impossible to see from one another. Thus, I made this submission as large as I could without it being /too/ big. Also for your viewing pleasure, there is minimal watermarking. Please do not abuse this. As this image will be in print and on T-shirts, stealing or tracing or using is strictly prohibited as with all my works unless otherwise stated. Please do not ask me if you can color this, I must respectfully decline.
SO what's this pic about anyway? Well that's easy! This is an Emblem for the Sekkaien's, possibly an emblem that might be seen on the Academy or something. [AKA the 'good' faction] These 17 dragons are each a separate breed, and element. While each dragon is an individual and no two, even in the same type, are alike, there are base guidelines and builds to look for.
Starting at the top and going around clockwise, they are as follows:
