I'll do Ford before '92. After that, they started trying to cram 10 pounds of shit in a five pound bag and made it a bitch to do your own maintenance xD
As far as modern cars go, I'm mostly a chevy man, with the exception being to the Dodge Challenger.

lol xD aint that the truth.. I got a Hyundai for a modern car but I drive a ton of rental Altimas... idk how good they hold up but they are fun to drive as heck! X3 I did drive a Dodge Charger once.. newish.. it has the 5.7L hemi inside.. needless to say I had one heck of a blast ;3
I've got a little Aveo right now. 1.5L, 5-speed, sits about 4 inches off the ground.
Despite all that, the thing's held up remarkably well. It's gotten out of ice, mud, and I even drove it through large puddle and half-submerged the thing (the waterline was visible out of the driver's window...) and she still kept going.
The car's a lot like myself - small, weak, but by God it don't stop for shit xD
