Last weekend I got to so see part of the Perseids meteor shower. Where I live, it's really hard to find a place that isn't drowning in light pollution; you can't see very many stars from my porch. Luckily my aunt lives in a city with a light ordinance, yay! It wasn't perfect, and we missed the peak, but I got to see way more than I would've been able to otherwise.

It got me to thinking though... if you go up high enough, could you escape the light pollution?
