My finished attempt at drawing a concept Gaaren thought up some time ago. Delays made this take waaaay longer than it should have :s
This will probably be the last drawing I'm able to work on for the next week or two since I have surgery tomorrow :< Depending on what recovery is like I will start working on art and writing when I feel better. Wish me luck ;_;

Gaaren Goldscales is a warrior-type dragon from a far away city-state inhabited by dragons, and nobody else. He escaped from the oppressive land, however, and has lived the last decade freely. Gaaren regularly joins Lyle and Scale on adventures but spends alot of time relaxing at home, too- he's not certain which he enjoys more. Gaaren usually draws alot of attention when in public, thanks to his gold-colored scales, and his large size- he is eight feet tall. So, he's not easy to miss.

In the skills and abilities department, Gaaren is no push-over. His incredible strength and size allow him to use weapons most people couldn't even lift, and being a dragon, he is very hardy and resistant to both physical attacks and magic spells, though he has limits. He is skilled in unarmed fighting, and his fire breath is super powerful, but he must be cautious with its use to avoid collateral damage if there is anything flammable nearby. He is a skilled weaponsmith and is very 'persuasive'- after all, most people are easily persuaded by huge, strong dragons!
