Whoa ^__^ i finally got into it too :) soooo... soon there will be DA PONIES ! :)
Working on base mesh at time , and i must say it is a challenge to me. In animated series those ponies have totally different face structure form different angles . And still you need to cover it all in 1 form .. and you need not to fall into uncanny valley (in which for my opinion most 3d ponies are (besides of Luna and Celestia > they ok :) )
