Let me nerd out for a bit...
Actually, K.I.T.T. might just be the best solution ever for drinking. Not only can the car drive itself to avoid that weaving and poor reaction side effect, but can jump to super speeds to avoid any annoying cop pursuits, leap over any sudden road blocks, drive right over any police spike strips without getting a flat and, if nothing else works, offer suggestions on how to get around any police questions that might pop up. Plus, there's this ultra fine oxygen vent that is more powerful then any old pure oxygen tent in a hospital for revitalizing from any groggy sensations. I half expect the glove box to open with a cure all medicine, to boot.
And, if you're still not able to confront the police...tint the windows black and talk back through the PA system. Or utilize the seat ejector to make a get away on a 20 story building.
Maybe the officer is crooked enough to take a bribe. Why not? That car had an ATM built into the dash, too.

Let me nerd out a bit. But, there's a good reason not to wear pants...
I do believe the 'behind the scenes' video has since left YouTube. However, there is a cannon (mind you) bit of mild porn side to K.I.T.T. Something to do with an 'AutoVac' option that can do more then just a lap dance... (It was a gag reel that was never suppose to leave the studio. Even then, was never meant to be showed outside the closed doors of senior exec's.) (Robo-gay sexual act? Oh, my.)

These days, David will set up a video camera in his home and wish whomever a happy whatever for $xxx amount of cash. (I hear that many B-list celebrities are doing that, these days. It's right up their alley. Saying script into a camera for cash. Like 30 seconds of work for a grand.) That is, when he isn't busy making advertisements about the advances in home electronics or such.
at one point he did a cd of music that sold in Germany lol . The songs were in English but it was marketed in Germany. Go figure.
He's done cameos and a bunch of movies such as Purana 2 , where he played a lifeguard. To be precise . He played a satirical version of himself who was hired to be a lifeguard for a day at a theme park and he was in a scene with some kid and he's saying, don't you want my autograph. I was in Knight Rider and Baywatch and the kid was like, what's a Knight Rider Baywatch?
David Hasselhoff also did a music video a few months ago wich is a promotion for a movie being made wear he sang the song soul survivor , the movie is set in the 1980s and is a comedy of sorts to do with time travel and is basically a parody of different 1980s films where you have a karate cop who finds himself facing Hitler who has traveled in time to the 1980s and is forming a youth army of super powered mutant street gang members so he tries to use a computer program to time hack and go back to stop Hitler from getting to the 80s but that computer malfunctions and he goes to different periods in time and you see things like writing a Koran a Soros racks and a Viking warrior who calls the God thor from Asgard to travel and fight Hitler's new Mutant street gang Army.
I'm trying to remember the name of the Movie. Last I heard it still in production.
You'd be surprised how often David Hasselhoff or the old car pop up in little cameo roles in comedy films over the years.

He's really big in Germany. If memory serves, Germany is home to almost the exclusive Knight Rider convention. Las Vegas had a short run for being the second. But, it fizzled out when it merged with another car convention, Star Cars (with special guest star, Knight Rider.) I'm serious. They named it something like that after the merger. Else, you get into the Michigan Trans-Am Nationals or some lesser car shows.
And, David can be quite the ham about his characters. Heck. Only a number of actors get to have that once-in-a-lifetime status mark where they'll always be remembered as someone else. This guy pulled it off twice. Not quite like Stallone, whom pulled it off thrice...as movies, no less. (Rocky/Rambo/Expendables.) But, his throne of a high tech life preserver is well earned.
Hmmm...perhaps I'll go load up that old game of Pain and fling The Hoff around, some more. (P! A! I! N! P-A-I-N! That's just how much of a sense of humor he has to be co-starring in a game like that.)

that's got me looking on YouTube to see if maybe anybody's done anything regarding a possible new television series or movie with Knight Rider and I found this.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CD7FDcFYiw
I wonder do they realize how close that car locks too cro? in the 90s there was a series called team Knight Rider and one of the cars that had a single episode appearance was a defective prototype version of kitt . It was the third car created by the Knight industries program and was made around a farriey. The car was black in color and had a borderline psychotic personality similar to its intended driver. They had been able to figure out how to reprogram our in order to give it a new owner. They had tried and failed several times to Reformat its memory. At any rate, video gave me a chuckle so I figured I'd pass the link along.

Yes. KRO. The fan favorite episode out of that whole series. It had some great concepts going in it and even some great action. It also had one of the worst 'pulling the wool over your eyes' bit I had ever seen. Basically, the team chases KRO on a long stretch of road. They even admit that there is no way to do what they had to do. So, one member intercepts KRO, whom shoots back and causes a major explosion/flip scene. KRO veers around the accident, taking a whole two seconds to do so. Those two seconds buy so much time that the motorcycle dual are able to take a detour, ascend/descend a multi-level building and arrive in the nick of time. That one horrid timing flaw outdid another episode's lousy timing where one of the ladies had to break another out of a prison bus...and while escaping, they just casually walk along this short stretch of road for a number of minutes...holding a conversation until the plot introduced a sound file of, I think, police sirens and police dogs to make them pick up the pace. That show was a train wreck and only showed hope of improving right before they were canceled. Heh...a J.C. Whitney scanner bar light that was semi-out of sight was an improvement and the promise of mixing up origins beyond a (another groan moment) printout that explained Michael's missions...that were basically an episode by episode description. Oh, TKR. You were the fan fiction that gained a budget, I do declare. Alas, I can hold them to doing no wrong. For they pulled the burned out Phoenix that was Knight Rider 2010 and set it to camp(y) fire levels by hopping back up on that horse this this whole season miracle.
(Here's a history lesson to tag along with. Knight Rider 2010 was apart of what, back then, was called the Action Pack. A weekly, prime time show that merged multiple movie ideas into episode lengths. They shined with a revival set of Smokey and the Bandit episodes, lots of the Hercules (season one) episodes, some science fiction show that went on to become it's own series for a couple more seasons, a few other odds and ends and this weekly promise for all new Knight Rider episodes. A huge tease, too. Every week, in their opening credits, there was this car that was driving along with Knight Rider written on top and nothing else. The final episode of the AP's run was KR 2010. Why did it take so long to emerge? Legal battles. It was to be a show about Michael Knight and Kitt's new adventures. After the legal machine got through with them, AP walked away with...the name. The script they could legally create would have been more at home as a Mad Max revival series. It was the future. Humanity really took a turn for the worst. Most people lived in dome cities. The rest of the Earth was now wasteland. And, that is where our ex-military hero-type lived. He was out fighting for justice in the wastelands when he decides to get a vehicle that can deal with it. So, he goes to a junk yard, piles on some old military grade armor to a beat up car and then manages to acquire this future tech crystal that has stored a copy of a murdered woman's soul. And, boom. KR origins. Hero out to help the weak in a car that is super armored and controlled by a future tech device with intelligence and can drive the car. Just ignore the ten million band aids that hold the script together to that concept. TKR was by no means perfect. (K.I.T.T. as a word on a painted Folger's can. Michael as a 'scare crow' actor wearing imitation jacket and jeans.) But, seeing where it came from, it would have been nice to see where season two was aiming to go. After all, KRO was a very powerful episode and easily outdid that re-envisioned K.A.R.R. that turned out to be a Transformer in disguise...for like a whole minute or two.)

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Knight Rider 2000 movie with David Hasselhoff and that God awful orange water car Firebird ;). Let's create a stealthy multimillion dollar police vehicle and then painted the brightest color orange. We can criminals will never see it.
How the hell do you follow somebody in a giant pumpkin with some sort of fiberglass thing on the back? At least most of the cars in team Knight Rider and the original Knight Rider car. Could easily blend into traffic forestalled Operations. one of the things I liked about team Knight Rider was the vehicles having different personalities lol the Mustang liked too fuck with guy's;) she on several occasions seem to really get jollies out of messing with guys on the phone and one of the two pickup trucks had a very unhealthy obsession with the driver of the Mustang wean he thout he was going to be eliminated as his AI core shut down. He said, tall so and so i lov --- I forget the characters name. I like the idea that it was vehicles that could land in but it was basically a commercial for Ford and they had very little backing besides Ford. the 2010 basically was just they got away with using the name and could use anything else which was kind of sad.
did you knodess the car from the junkyard started out as a Ford Mustang and by the time they were done cutting and welding magically turned into a 1982 or 83 Monte Carlo or Graham, pre- ;) I forget which GM card. It was by the end of the reconstruction and it started out as a late 60s Ford Mustang lol. I happen to have had a early 80s Monte Carlo in the late 90s which is why I quickly recognized the vehicle from the doors back ;) as being one of those two vehicles because I had an old Grand Prix and an old body. Carlo at one point.the car actually wasn't that badly built considering it was made in a junkyard facility. You'd be surprised what people can make in machine shops with the right kind of material. Supposedly a lot of that vehicle was parts of a old B-52 stealth bomber and a 454 gm big block engine , and my initial comment was how the hell are they going to fit a 454 into a Mustang ;) and ironically there was a joke about that right in the episode where they go to put the motor into the car and needless to say clunk clunk;) , one or two scenes later it was basically a completely different car and you're not supposed to even realize it. Suddenly changed from being a Ford Mustang to a heavily modified GM ;).
thay should never have called it Knight Rider it wood have bin a good show but was no point in calling it Knight Rider.
Team Knight Rider , I kind of felt bad that they finally revealed kit was in the dam airplane the hole time in this light of basketball thing that nobody actually seen in all it was there lol in the back of the plane someplace. I admit I would like to have seen where they were going with it. Especially given kit was using hologram technology to have a physical human representation.
the 2000 and something Knight Rider . Like I keep saying they should have actually come right out and showed the old car but what they did was showed the computer sitting on Dr. Lightman's dask and it for a few seconds, activated and then turned itself off while the terrorists were going through his lab and on the back wall behind it was the old steering wheel and front nose panel of the original car and on 1 side was a nice GM engine on a engine Crane and if you look in the background you will actually see what appears to be the 1980's kitt but the car is apparently partially stripped and onder a vehicle cover:( . They never explained why it was in his lab, but you see a second vehicle, which appears to have the same body shape as the original kitt and quite a bit of the front section of the car is missing. They never did anything with the other vehicle that was in the lab and they never explained exactly what happened to kitt that he'd be taken apart like that in the first place.it was also kind of insulting that they had David Hasselhoff in the pilot and he didn't seem in any way to mention anything about kit or there was nothing at all in the story to suggest he even cared or wondered what happened too kitt . At least in the knight 2000 movie he seemed legitimately as a character concerned about kitt and he got pretty ticked off when he realized the car had been dismantled and sold off for perks. He had assumed it was still used in some sort of a government capacity and not just taken apart and mothballed.
ide have loved to see tham do a episode or two with a storyline using the original 80's car. Not necessarily involving Hasselhoff as well but it would've been nice to see the original car make a return as kitt. i know it's technology would probably be pretty outdated in the opinion of most people but to be brutally honest, for whatever reason, and the storyline they did make the new kit as mentally advanced as the original for one reason or another. It was something that stuck out pretty clearly that the original car was more mentally advanced. It was like they didn't want the car being too intelligent or as heavily armed. I got the distinct impression the original kitt had a few armaments that weren't included in the new version. Granted, the new car had lots of toys but it would have been nice if it had the same level of AI and equipment. Besides, it would've been funny to see the two vehicles meat up;) and more than likely start insulting each other.

It would have been extremely hard for KR 2000 to show the original KITT. Simply for the fact that, shortly after the original series ended, all cars (show/stunt/extras) were ordered to be smashed. *Officially*, there are no remaining original Trans-Am's from the show. *Unofficially*, it is rumored that not all of those cars actually made it to the car crusher. The fully functional show car with lit dash and working voice box; that one is forever gone. Either way, Universal held no ownership of any of the cars to bring to KR 2000 for use with that scene. That's not to say that there aren't quite a few reproductions out there in the world, today. Even a few have been under the ownership of The Hoff, himself. Now, what had happened to the Universal Studios reproduction KITT, I'm not sure about. Last known to be rusting away under a bird fav'ed tree.
That horrible vehicle on 2000. Never was a fan of it, either. In fact, so much about that pilot movie made me groan during it's original run that I pretty much didn't want to even remember it. Just the opening ideas that prisoners would sleep away their sentence, almost cryogenic-ally, was far too sci-fi. Successfully getting rid of guns in the US? Sci-fi nonsense. Wiping out Devon in a heartless flick of one paragraph writing. Extremely disrespectful. (Though it was the man's final chance at acting. So...half a point removed off that shame. And, the other half for giving James Doohan one more role before his departure. But, the bit role was self disrespecting. So, add a full point.) Basically, the show was way off kilter to what the world really would have achieved and left a bad taste in my mouth from the get go. Maybe, had it become a series, it might have redeemed itself. But, to me, KR 2000 will always rate far closer to the Voo Doo Knight (1) side of the ratings scale then to the Knight of the Phoenix (10) side.
A funny little fact about the Tomato on Wheels. It was suppose to float on water, as if a hybrid of a boat. Only, they never managed to solve the sinking problem. So, shots were kept as short as possible during the water driving scenes. And, in a far stranger twist, (not really known if somehow unintentional or a tribute to a very devoted set of fans turned show writers) the 2000 car actually exists in the original series! In a few scenes inside the semi, it is possible to see a pre-production model of that car in the background in one of the framed pictures. It's not a 100% match. But, does exceed a 90% similarity. And, with that color shell, it's an artist's illustration that doesn't make sense in the semi. Other wall pictures look like they might have something to do with KITT references. But that one picture makes no sense to a certain degree.

no you're going to say I don't know what I'm talking about! After the cancellation of the original Knight Rider series 2 of the car's were given to David Hasselhoff wich wear 2 of the hero cars from series. 1 of tham hes . White got in a divorce and she sold it too a car collector.if you look on u tub the strey of the car is in a documentary thing.thay interview the owner of the vehicle for a program and there is a copy of it on YouTube, where he explains that hassle off and his wife each got one of the cars from the series . And when they got divorced. The one sold the one she had . Last anybody remembers pass laws still has the other car and he has done bit parts with it lol . There was a movie in the 90s some date comedy film . I forget the name of the movie but 1 of the gangs in the movie is this guy's call up David Hasselhoff and get hem to lone tham kit for this guy too take hes girlfriend out for a special date and in the cameo scene. He is dressed like Michael Knight and he makes a remark about. Make sure to use. I forget what kind of gas because the car is getting out there and mileage.he was in a interview on YouTube. Not that long ago and seen drivng the car and interviewed while driving It lol. there have been several car shows wear some of the cards from the original series have bin featured , including there was a show in Vegas. Not that long ago it was something like 20th or 30th anniversary i forget and it had several of the cards from the original series.so not all the cards from the original series words droid.
i still thnak thay shod have a new Knight Rider movie or something and have a replica of the original car for at least part of the movie. Personally, what I'd like to see them do is a storyline like a person who member of the group who originally designed kitt has spent several years tracking down the car and eventually finds it dismantled in a warehouse storage unit and he's working for a government organization who takes the available material from the original and re-bills and repairs as well as an updated systems. Personally, I'd like to see them in the story trying to salvage the original AI but it is corrupted so thay use it as a component to build a new AI with a female personality but that is me.ide love to see tham for at least part of the story line using the original 1980s Firebird and at some point in the story. Transfer the AI system too a newer body . Personally, I would like to see them use a 1980s rearwheel drive car for the new kitt but my personal choice of vehicle would probably pass a lot of people off! . I would like to see them use a four-door Impala, I used to have a black and white that some people use to call Knight rider on steroids do too , the way I had the car built up.
hear is a fan mayed Knight Rider movie trailer

does anybody know where they got the scenes of kitt for the movie trailer? they aren't from any Knight rider episodes or anything. I'm familiar with the video footage is way too clean and up-to-date to be from the 1980s television series . So where did they get the clamps of kitt for this fan trailer? is there some Knight rider television series or movie ive not seen done after the 90s? i know thay did 1 with a Ford Mustang in 2008 and we maced the 2 really cheesy movies and 90s television series so is there a third movie that I don't know about?

You are right. There were special cars given out to key people. And, this is apart of that *unofficial* bit. The consensus on just what cars were given as gifts and such grows hazy and has often leaned towards these cars as not being 'show used' cars, but reproductions for promotions and touring and such. However, if they actually were used in the show has never been out of the question. And, that bit about one car being sold into a private collection reasons out with some of the stories about how a car from back then wound up in a private museum of cars.
Now, Joe Huth has really put together quite the book. He got interviews with cast and crew to help assemble the facts about this series. http://www.amazon.com/Knight-Rider-...../dp/0595298486 And, it does cover juicy facts about what had happened to the cars after the show ended. (Though, I must admit that I never purchased the book. We've just chatted about the thing to death on the boards and such.) If it wasn't for all that, I wouldn't have the slightest idea about such behind-the-scenes things like that.
As for series...I'm only familiar with KR (TOS), TKR, 2000, 2010 and KR '08.

Ah...wait a minute. That is a good mix up of things and I wouldn't even know where to look for any of the action bits. But, Kitt's sections come from an interesting source. Let's see if I can get lucky and find that source.

Look familiar?
Oh, YouTube. You make remembering things so easy.
I don't remember whose reproduction was used for making those shots. But, there are at least several guys in different countries with lifetime jobs, just finding, restoring and modifying Trans-Ams to become museum worthy replicas of Kitt.

I am fully aware of people doing those restoration jobs.a naber of mine has something in their backyard. I keep debating about trying to get a picture of without getting in trouble! she has a 1984 Trans-Am which has been sitting since about 1987 under a tree in her backyard. Paccar is no longer any good for anything other than a few parts and scrap. At one point I tried to purchase the vehicle in order to make use of the engine and transmission, and she seems to think the car can be repaired and has no understanding how little there is that dog body. I've been trying to figure if I can get a picture from across the street. Or not that anybody could make out exactly what I'm taking a picture of due to everything grown up around the vehicle. It literally looks like kit has bin sitting and rusting away all these years, given it has the same Basic lock as the television series I never got a close up look to see if , it had one of those scanner lights on it or not. There was one here in Nova Scotia where somebody went quite a bit of trouble to make it look like the car from the series and somebody smashed part of it up . You don't know how unsettling it was to be passed in traffic bue kit complete with the red scanner light and there were a series of baseball bat shaped dance all along the front fender and engine bonnet on the driver side. Speaking of hackers David Hasselhoff has a complete Bluetooth smart electric door entry systemhome. I wonder how many times by now hackers have gone to the trouble to hack his entire home and either screw with him or break in and steal things! His entire home can be accessed via a smart phone with Bluetooth. That being said, obviously every aspect of his all can equally be packed into just like any other computer operated device which is accessible by Bluetooth technology ;). Call me a caveman but if I had my way I'd still be driving eight completely manual vehicle. Unfortunately, all I can afford is a old computerized minivan, I can't afford a car graded manual system Vehicle anymore.at least my home has no way for somebody to hack into it using a computer lol.
One of the things I considered saying is how those guys that do the mod's are always having issues just finding more era proper Trans-Am's. If the production year is too new, there were some construction issues that get in the way. Same with too old. The interior is pretty unique to the era, too. Doeskin, I think they called it. Don't make the stuff, anymore. Also some really bad issues with rust points that will just eat out the whole frame if the owner isn't attentive. It's especially bad around the dual...erm...were those called Moon Roofs or Sun Roofs or...something else? Hang on...I'll Google it. So, they are calling it a Sunroof. The rubber seal would take quite a beating from the elements and age, letting the moisture seep in and just sit there, causing horrid rust issues. So, if that car's become a planter since 1987, I'm not sure that it'll ever be usable, again. Gives me the toony impression of a bird going to land on it and the whole frame just 'magically' turns into dust as the vines collapse inwards. I don't know. The damage might not be 'that bad'. But, there is a point when a car becomes more Bondo then metal that it's just worth dropping the whole restoration project. To me, this one is already reading as a lost cause.
Several years ago, there was the 'best of all scenario' cases found. Some guy was so in love with the Trans-Am design that he bought a KITT ready model right off the show room floor and drove it into a place where he could showcase it as a private collection. Quite literally had it sit there with something like 3 miles on the odometer since 1982 or 3. I don't remember the story bit about why the car was finally sold off. Maybe the son took over the estate. But, just swap out all the aged rubber and replace the ancient fluids and that puppy was perfect. Need a *DeLorian to get a Trans-Am in any more pristine condition. And, I'm sure there's a large group of Trans-Am enthusiast that would be willing to commit murder if anyone even looked at that perfect car and proposed turning it into a KITT. Trans-Am lovers see Kitt's as complete blasphemy to their idols of car perfection.
That's the one bad thing about 'state of the art'. Although it is getting better, computers still do not question anything that gets inputted into them. So if an RF frequency gives off the exact tones to unlock, it just obeys and lets any old stranger in. I've seen some recent YouTube videos on how computers are now using facial recognition to 'know' who is who. And that brings our tech up to date with what KITT had. But, the show warns that even that can be fooled. (Face mask that looks like an authorized user and fake fingerprint gloves.) We almost need a leap in AI technology to make these new ideas work on a safer level. And that means making a computer that when told to jump, won't ask 'How high', but 'Why'? Like a Smart Car that when a virus tells it to run over that pedestrian, won't agree, but argue when using the Three Laws of Robotics as a code of ethics.

I hate to be the one to break it to you but given what I know about the 82 of Trans Am. If my memory serves me, they didn't change anything with the body style from 82 two. I think it was 1990 may have been 87 but I think it was 1990. They originally made thousands. The only real differences were the interior. Furthermore, you can take a 1980s Camaro and change the brake light assembly and the front clip with a Trans Am and then you have the exact same car. Same thing with a 1982 to 1987 Firebird all three vehicles used the exact same body. They just changed the front nose panel and rear brake light panel . The only thing people as far as I know run intois the interior and a lot of people that make Knight Rider replicas usually Are not too concerned about going as far as having that stupid does in interior. In fact, if you've watched the Knight Rider series you quickly notice that they alternate back and forth between the car having a moonroof t top or a full metal roof or a sun roof lol . They used all three in the series and most people just never noticed. Depending on the editing. I've seen all three models used to make replicas of kitt. Depending who did they don't go as far as making the exact interior because that particular aspect of the project would be murder because of trying to get dow skin interior.
Depending where you're at, you can get a rust free Trans Am for between $100 and $1000. No, that's not a joke. You can get them with a bad engine laying in a bar or something like that in parts of the US for as little as $100. It all depends where you're at and depending where you're at is whether or not you have major rust issues. I personally live in Nova Scotia and you're not going to get a good one in Nova Scotia. Even a piece of junk usually sells for around 1500 or more and just to be able to keep it on the road is difficult while all of even considering converting it into a replica of Knight Rider because of how much rust you're going to be dealing with. The one I mentioned down the road from me, the whole point I was trying to make is there's no way you could do anything with it put it back on the road! I go with two from similar situations that were so rotten. When the tow truck attempted to move them the car split into several pieces. Basically from the T-bar roof forward broke break off of the rest of the vehicle. It's not uncommon for them to rust that badly in Nova Scotia. Unless somebody had the car indoors and never out in the weather you're going to be dealing with rust problems in Nova Scotia. My brother is in one of those rare situations where he has a 1998 minivan that is in the condition of a two-year old vehicle rust wise because the band was from one of the provinces with a better climate and they don't use road salt in the winter. The van was brought down here by a group of German tourists that drove across Canada with it and then unloaded when they got to Nova Scotia. If somebody had actually realized where the van was from the way we got it, it would have been worth over $1000. We got it fotr 100 because the guy didn't realize the vehicle was rust free. He had never even taken a ranch to it and had been taking it to mechanics to get it worked on.
most people can find the car real eizzy to make kitt it's the money to get the parts;)

It was stuff under the dash and a few other construction notions that changed that make the people that do conversions not willing to work with Trans-Ams from different years. I guess they started wielding beam supports in different spots. Makes adapting all the modified dash equipment too hard. These guys that do all the body restoration work and get to know every nut, bolt and inch of steel in use are the experts at what has happened during every production year of the Trans-Am eras. I'm just relaying what they talk about, concerning construction values and challenges.
It just makes sense that there would have to be some kind of alternative to that ancient interior color. After all, just how many deposits of unused Doeskin carpeting can there still possibly be in some forgotten storage warehouses?
Swapping designs and ignoring details is the KR way. It's absolutely hilarious to nitpick those episodes to death on how things just change. Why, just trying to track where the 'Turbo boost' button is at can become a real headache. With some research, it starts turning out some strange results. Like, at times, one could slap their whole hand upon the console and hit half a dozen of those buttons, alone. ;P Or, how about the moving gas cap? Sometimes, it's on the driver's side and other times, it's under the license plate. Why, the loss of continuity can become it's own drinking game. Just take a sip every time "Thing" (from the Addams Family) shows up to work the driver's door...
Last time I had seen a Trans Am for sale along the road side, I took a photo. It was the two tone, perfect for KARR. Only, I later learned that it was "too new". Interior body would conflict with what the pro's have made.

I don't mean to argue with these so-called professionals. But what I'm trying to tell you is that Camaro that Firebird and Trans Am from around 1982 until 87 or 90. If you take off defenders and front flap and the very back plastic panel that the brake lights are contained in and take out the interior you have the exact same vehicle! They didn't change anything other than options like convertible or t top or sun ruf or full hard top. Only other thing that changed was if the gas cap was on the right side of the car. The left side or under the license plate that is all that changed.some of the stunt cars in the series wear Camaros where they swapped out body parts from the Firebird or the Trans Am.i have shop manual for the 82;) and the book explains they use the exact body for each vehicle and didn't change anything other than what I mentioned through the entire run until they completely changed the body style, which I believe was in 1991 or 92.gm is to do things like that quite a bit. I've known people that started with a Camaro and turned it into a Knight Rider Kitt replica by swapping out the front clip and the brake lights action, putting a spoiler on the back and then doing the interior. A lot of people that make the replicas. Just don't use the same seats as in the show. You can buy the dash and other interior pieces that will fit any and I repeat any Firebird, Camaro, Trans Am from 1982 do whatever the heck the last year was they fit all of them. GM was known for using universal components and keeping body parts very similar in those days you can even take the doors off of any of those three vehicles and put them on any of their counterparts. Same with the hatchback. In most cases even the fenders are the same. It's merely the very front nose panel and the engine bonnet that are different. What you're running into are these guys that build the replicas are just actually being overly picky. The original hero car in the show was modified. You can see videos on YouTube where people started with a Camaro or a Firebird and turned it into a replica of kitt. Some people use that t top some use. The sunroof version . Some use that hardtop. A lot of people try to get that hardtop version to avoid rust issues as well as avoid issues of problems to do with replacing the rubber around that t top. I believe I mentioned in a previous e-mail that not all the vehicles in Knight Rider even had eight t top in some scenes and had a glass sunroof or a full metal roof and alternated back and forth where they used 30 or 40 vehicles in the show and that's why you acting like where the gas cap was the only real changes they ever made was interior color and shape of the brake lights and where the gas tank nozzle is located as well as things like engine options but all the body panels can be converted from one to the other.i had a 78 Impala and use the doors fenders engine bonnet trunk lid all on my 87 brom we even went as far as removing all the manual systems on the doors and installing electric controls from the newer doors. the guys that are doing those replicas are actually being over critical. It's mostly they only want to use the t top and it is getting hard to find a t top that doesn't have rust issues due to moisture getting around the rubber alout of people use the hard top if you look at the videos on YouTube from the conventions you'll notice a lot of them don't have a t bar glass ruf. i always kind of had a chuckle about that ejector seat thank about it you get fired 2 cook0 flors up you are not going to land on your feet and walk;) Best you're going to do is tuk and role from the forward arch befor you come down . And that's assuming you don't get strictly shot straight up, and immediately come straight back down ;). Gore did anybody ever wonder how that ejector system works, that you go all up in the air and then forward say a few feet?
yaa i am overthinking it lol. At least with CGI thay dont smach 20 car's per show if thay wear to do it now. I'm sure I'm not the only guy that used to notice body parts coming off the car between cut scenes during stunts.

When it comes to the manufacturing differences between models, that's way beyond my scope of being a fan of the show. Now, if I was a car guy and actually had tried to take apart and rebuild a few Trans-Am's, that would be a different picture. The closest I ever thought about it was when a friend who owned a scrap yard had a Trans-Am parked there. It was mostly the body with some rust. No interior. Probably no engine or tranny. And, even if I had money, I had no space to tow it off to. But, I had thought about what it would be like to take that frame with a shell and turn it into a highly detailed frame for that game I had linked to in another post.
That was about it, though. The car's long since crushed and even the lot is gone. Just a memory of a thought from long ago.
Oh, and I found that 'photo' of the Trans-Am for sale. Turns out I did a video, instead. https://youtu.be/tp0h9FVFIUI BTW: It's long since sold. Don't bother calling that number.
Heh...the ejector seat. Yea. That one was pretty much 'Turn your brain off and accept what we're showing you', all right. After all, what goes up must come down. Not arc to the right like an invisible, inverted J. ;P But, that's getting into the nit picking side of the tech, like how KITT can be driving along while getting half a dozen camera angles, including one that's looking in at the side of another vehicle's interior to be viewed from his own monitor. It's strikingly more believable then '08s bit about driving down the road at 100+ MPH while having a half dozen pop up screens, nearly blocking up the whole windshield.

I'm going to say something that may make me sound or look a little stupid. I've never personally owned a salvageable Firebird/Camaro/Trans Am. However, I've dismantled a few that were scrapped and I've dealt with quite a few of them. I for a while tried to get one and just Having it shoved in my face that it's not going to happen. One of those instances was one that was in excellent condition back I got pissed off because he couldn't get it to start and wanted to get rid of it. I offered him 300 because I knew exactly what the problem was and he wasn't in the mood to fix it. He told me to go fuck off and sold it too a punk for 200. all the kid did was take the motor out of a Monte Carlo and put it in the car and then proceed to drive it like Junker.the car was a t top no rust in the condition it was. And even not running was worth around two or 3000.it only had a shitty fuel injected v6 and part of the computer system had gone to hell which was fairly common for the fuel injected line.you hall the engine out, throw it in the garbage and pout in a 205 or 350 with a carburetor which I already had;) and your good to go. 2ed 1 was in once again, excellent condition a grad i dalt with wanted 300 for it and given this guy junk cards all the time for scrap he wouldn't have bothered trying to sell it if it was crap. He even took it in and put on the rack so I can have a look at it.my brother wood not deal with it. he sold the vehicle for 300 to a 17-year-old who, believe it or not drove it home and with blue house and park it in his driveway with a sign reading 2500 or best offer. a nother naber of mine in hes 20's a real bastird found 1 in a barn for 500 he didn't even consider doing things like changing that transmission fluid. He just put a battery and it and started driving it.it was the black and gray like in the picture with the old LIKE and night rider. He literally treated the car like it wasn't worth anything if i tred too get 1 in that shape . Somebody would've wanted three or 4000. It was after that point that I just gave up even trying to get one ide lookd at several where they wanted as much as 4000 and they were so rotten that one wrong time tuch and the car would come apart in pieces! i had 1 run in wear a abandoned property that was seized by the government had 14 on it! . They vary between Trans Am Firebird and Camaro and you could see where parts were being taken off one and put on the other back and forth . Most of them all. Had the interior out and that includes the dash! from this particular experience as well. Several others dealing with that, where people had been taken apart. I am fully confident in my statement that they are all the same vehicle to 8° from 1982 till the last year of the Run! . There were little to no actual changes other than things like the location of the gas intake for the tank. Most of the changes were like I imagined the do with the roof or the drivetrain options, as an example. There was one limited edition that they made about 1000 or so in the 80s that had a digital gauge package similar to what was in Knight Rider that come out and 85 or 86. My sisters second or third husband and one of those.the yard full of part's car's while the government was cleaning it out i grabed a few spoilers brake lights and such and sold the book stof to people looking for parts and i picked up a transmission of a special edition pase car wich u yse on a old 60's 350 and had it in a 1974 Jamie with a positron rear;) basically think mad Max lol tht old 350 was out of a old gto and even with a two barrel carburetor. It would take that great big cinderblock beast from zero to shit your salf in a number of seconds. The first time I took it out. I hit the gas pedal to hard and believe it or not lifted the front end off the asphalt before realizing I had made a grievous mistake lol nobody believes me that I actually managed to pop the tires up off the asphalt on something that big and heavy lol.i . Later on had a run-in with a punk driving a Porsche 944 i bleve it was;) . He drove up behind me. Nearly rear ending her vehicle passed me almost close enough to sideswipe and if I had slammed on the brakes when he tried to pull back in he would've locked the front bumper and proceeded to tear off going full speed;). Not thinking my first reaction was get the guys license plate and call the cops so i hit the cas and he went from being a stack in the distance to within about 4 seconds. My front tires almost rubbing his back bumper and you could clearly see the guy in the car freaking out trying to make it go faster and basically not having antilock and i did not have the old beast to full tilt;) I pretty quickly backed off because I was scared of doing something like coming up on a turn and rolling it. Those things were not meant to be driven like that that factory speedometer only went up to like 80 or 90 lol anything like that. You'd basically. The needle that more than half throttle.
i ended up taking it apart. A few years later I sold transmission to a guy who was very particular about matching the numbers on the transmission to make sure it was out of a 1982 Firebird lol. That guy was rebuilding 82 and wanted to make sure nothing was off of anything newer then, around 84 or off of some other vehicle I didn't feel like arguing with the guy about how many parts were the same, where GM used to basically take whatever was on the assembly line as long as it fit there weren't that many different transmissions. Usually it was a matter of the tail shaft length was the only real difference which was a situation I ran into with that 74 as well. My 86. I had met have a custom driveshaft made so the transmission could be used by 86 I had a transmission out of a 1987 Impala and we had to once again have a custom driveshaft made so the transmission would work in the half ton truck due to there being a difference in the tail shaft length. I forget how many different transmissions. GM made for the V8 line. Some of them were even designed that they would fit and work on the sixes where they had a universal bell housing bolt pattern.
Basically, if you're going to build a Knight Rider replica. There isn't really a matter of whether it's a 82 or 87 or if it's a Camaro, Firebird or Trans Am you're going to be changing the nose panel and that rear section where the brake lights go on and these particular components will. And fit no matter which year you are using, or which vehicle. The interior. Obviously it would be very difficult to get that particular color and style but who really cares about the color of the interior or the style of the seats. It's the steering wheel and that dash assembly and I hate to opw pow on these guys that are building a replica as but the only reason they are being back whiny is because they want them to be so close to the television show and they're the types that are purists that you can't go taking parts off of a Camaro and putting them on a Firebird waw waaa I've known a few mechanics that did it enough times, including my cousin. You modify a few things by drilling new holes and everything bolts into place. You don't want to know how many pieces off of a Firebird. I use on my 1987 Impala acclamation point, I used the 15 inch dartboard hot wheels style Rams off of an old 1970s and the steering wheel off of a 1970s. With a spoiler on the back off of a 1982, Trans Am. My 1974 had the steering wheel and transmission out of that old pace car special edition. Like I said I can go on YouTube and show you where I started with a Camaro from 87. I've even heard of people using a ironic from the 90s and changing the front clip. I always forget about the ironic the ironic use the same body structure as the Knight Rider car a few years after they stopped making the Trans Am and the Firebird. I always forget about those damn I rocks and Zed 28. They are once again still the same car just different drivetrain and interior options! But needless to say these guys that make the replicas don't like using anything other than a Trans Am from between 82 and 86 because oooo That's what was used in the show. If I was going to do one and had the money, do you honestly think it would matter to me above the interior color or style of the seats? Personally, I never liked dow skin . I will likely try to get gray or black or red. What makes it the car is the front nose panel with the flip up headlights the rear panel with the spoiler and brake lights the Rams and hub caps and the dash console assembly with the steering wheel. That's why I don't understand these stories you hear about guys that stand 30 to 50,000 building 1?I can get a American 1 in significantly better shape than the one in the video you showed for between 2000 and 5000 use a aftermarket 350 crate engine because, to be brutally honest a 454 would be too much horsepower. the engine is around three or 4000. The last I remember one could always pick a used engine up for around 500 or less and do a cheap cleanup like I did where I got one for $100 and spent another hundred dollars on a gasket. Yet assembly and my brother took the engine apart placing all the gaskets timing chain and gear the lifters and so forth. Everything cost. I think around two or three honored between the gasket kit. The new lifters can and a few other things I'm forgetting.if you go getting the crate motor will say you're up to around 8000
from there off-the-shelf carburetor like say and Edelbrock. They start out at around 400 and go up. From there it's personal choice whether or not you just use interior that is in good shape or have somebody reupholster seats. Either way it is personal choice. If you start trying to get those fancy colored seats like the original car you're going to run into problems of expense as well as keeping them clean. the steering wheel I can get on eBay for between 150 and 300 the front nose panel with the hole for the light ared 150 to 300 the ed light depending which model you want to go with can run you between eight dollars and 150 . Personally, I recommend one of the more spans of one's because they're closer to the right design and shape for the hole in the front clip the dash assembly kit you can get with all its goodies depending if you buy it from one person or get it in individual pieces where there are different components you're looking at between 300 and 600. Last time I priced the parts, yes I actually at one point priced all these parts.
By the time everything is said and done, including you go to the trouble to obviously put new brake parts on the vehicle and a half decent exhaust system. If you really want to go overboard you can get really unnecessary and let oversized brake parts on the vehicle but we're at such a small car. The oversized brake parts are really going to give you much benefit. I'm talking if you go real overkill, you'd be looking at around between 10 and $15,000 for the parts I don't know how much the lever would cost if you were having somebody else put it together. I keep hearing these stories about people spending between 25 and 150,000 making replicas that they assembled themselves and I'm trying to imagine how it cost them that much given. I at one point actually went to the trouble to figure out the more expensive route of doing it. If somebody was on a budget. It could be done for under 8000. It mainly depends how much you paid for the body. You can actually get them. Sometimes for a couple hundred dollars and the body is in condition like a two or three year old vehicle. It just all depends where it was at and what kind of personality. The owner wants to charge you for the vehicle. The one that you were looking at. That said, 2000 is actually only worth about 1000 and I'm being nice. I know people are going to say I'm eight crazy asshole , but I've seen them in a lot better condition and only being able to get to and 3000 and these were ones that were heavily modified and had a fancy paint job. They weren't made to look like Knight Rider, but these were still heavily modified street racing vehicles. What I'm looking at is purchasing one that perhaps has no interior and it so you've got a better idea what the actual floor pan and frame look like from the inside and I'm assuming it's only got a little 305 burned out in it. Like I mentioned earlier you can get a good 350 from anywhere between $100 and $1000 depending how much work you are planning to do on the motor, or you just want to take the motor and put it in. I got one out of a old Gto where the guy had rolled the car and put the engine in his old firm backup drove the pickup into the ground and the pickup had said grown up in the grass for around 15 years. I bought the truck for the windshield and the back bumper and I just happened to get lucky that I found eight 350 under all that mass with a Boston.carburetor. We don't some gas down the carburetor looked up an old battery to the starter and the engine started and ran with a bit of work. I only spent about 200 or 300 on the engine, including spark plugs timing chain and gear water pump and a few odds and ends, you don't know how many people Trying to buy that engine because it was one of the wall model that people wanted for building a NASCAR. I in fact ran into a custom-built NASCAR and pit crew that were explaining to me how much they paid for an engine out of an old 1960s car that was in a firmer yard and I was in the parking lot next to their vehicle on a trailer and I just smiled and opened the engine bonnet and the look on their faces was priceless. And it got worse when I told him that I had started with an engine. I paid $100 for the vehicle and spent probably 300 cleaning the engine up and paid $50 carburetor, which was in the box, unopened in the guise storage building where he used to run a auto parts business and he had a bunch of stock that had never got sold and ended up in his correct when he retired.
I ended up selling that carburetor for 200 and I gave the engine too a group that build engines for NASCAR's . They were the guys that I Buying parts from where I was working on that engine as well. Working on another one. I just gave it to them rather than trying to sell it because I knew they'd cleaned it up and sell it to somebody for in a NASCAR or some other high-performance project. I had another 350 that was already half done before I started, so I didn't need to keep the motor around. It was mostly my brother that wanted to get rid of it or I would've kept it under a tarp out in the building. Never did like getting rid of that engine. Given how much life I knew it had in it and how well it ran.i had 2 of tham that I gave that shop. One was a crate motor that had been put in a suburban back in 86, where it was a warranty repair the guy had a suburban three months and the engine blew out of it and they put a crate motor in it and believe it or not. When I got suburban. It had roughly a little over 100,000 km on it lol I bought it so I haven't asked her engine and ended up never using it. I got more for the suburban in scrap. Then I paid for it in the first place So it wasn't like I lost anything.i at this point can't afford to do anything in regards to trying to fix or work on a murder wheel drive GM . It's gotten to the point I literally can't find one for a reasonable price. That is not rotten beyond salvation! . Furthermore, I just can't afford that parts and the gas i am down too using old Dodge minivans where I can pick them up for between 200 too 400 and drive it for a few years and then get another one. Once the body is to rotten to try and salvage. Ironically, the 98, I gave my brother is in the same condition as a two-year-old vehicle where that's from one of the places vehicles, don't rust in the other side of Canada .my o3 mite get 2 or 3 years out of it . She's pretty rusty. I got four doors to put on it that are rust free and I party change the engine bonnet. I figure if somebody doesn't drive into the rear I'll get three years tops and then do another one.i work in scrap so i cant have a car nor do I make enough anymore to put one together and it just doesn't make sense to have a half ton truck. I never like trucks.i want a van or a old Jimmy but it's almost impossible to get a full-size Jimmy like I had the last year they made was 87 and I had a pretty rare One where it was only two wheel drive , normally their rotten beyond salvation, but it had only been in Nova Scotia. A few years so it lasted me another three or four before it was too rotten to continue using.i was looking at getting a rearwheel drive cargo Van for work but between the gas mileage+ how much they want for one as well. How hard you get one it was more economical to just get a Dodge grand Caravan . It cost me about $12 to go the same distance it would cost me $40 with a rearwheel drive cargo Van and I have almost the same amount of room lol if I went getting a wonton Van. You don't want to know how nasty gas mileage would be again. Furthermore, I usually don't get that much scrap at one time to justify having anything bigger than a grand Caravan.i am i admit being pretty abusive with the Van but that's why I gave the 98 to my brother!you thank ill that badly goal of using something that thar is maybe 50 still on the road in Nova Scotia in that condition ;) it is probably get 5 to 9 years out of it. If he undercuts it. Like I told them and somebody doesn't drive into it i mite get 4 with how hard th work i do is on 1 structurally+ I'm in a lot higher bracket to get run into, then he is. I don't know if it's I'm a bad driver or what but I keep having people drive in any that are doing stupid things lol last car accident. I had was a 19-year-old driving a draft racing car at 10 in the morning through a heavily crowded industrial park, doing triple the speed limit;) and also I might add was stoned and doing a drug run! the car was bumper-to-bumper with illegal racing modifications and ironically he drove into me narrowly missing rear ending a cop car. And yet the police refused to send an officer out to the accident. If he had come around the turn approximately 3 min. earlier he would've hit a cop car that was leaving the gas station going the same direction that I was going.car's rum's were worth more than the entire vehicle. I was driving he rear-ended me drove me nearly half a block lol
befor that I had a handful of people, within inches of whacking the old haf tun or hiting the back bumper, but never really did any damage because it was so heavy same with the 87 car i had people caped deliberately ramming it because it happened to be in their way and parking lot or something like that and they wanted me to move things like that and my 81 i was hit bye a tractor-trailer who never even stopped.blow me off the road like a pop can lol.
i fuger wear i do a lot of my work in the city odds are I'll get rear-ended with the van accidents have been at an all-time high with people sideswiping and driving into minivans in Halifax , at least from what I've noticed by the body damage on most different battle bands around the city it's pretty prevalent for them to have rear end and side damage.not personally driven in the city and three years so I don't know how bad it's gotten sense I was in there last. Was getting pretty bad in some places for teenagers driving drift cars.

Officially, several Universal cars survive today.
The main hero BTTF DeLorean was restored and is on display.
An example Magnum PI Ferrari, rather worn, is also on display.
I have personally seen this season 4 screen-used Super Pursuit KITT:

You should spend some time here:

Note the semi trailer also made a cameo in Street Hawk.
The "Tomato on Wheels" is based on the Pontiac Banshee.

I thought they used one of the 90s Firebirds. I know there was this weird looking Firebird in the 90s. It looked pretty similar to the car from Knight Rider 2000. One of my neighbors at one. But it didn't look like that BMG. I am wondering why was semi-from Knight Rider on Street Hawk? I can't remember it much from Knight Rider. I thought it was just a generic 18 wheeler. I didn't know there was any kind of noticeable logo on it. I always kind of wondered why they never had a collaboration between the two shows or kitt on air wolf;)
Hollywood does like to save props for use with many productions. And, I can see the semi being generic enough for use in other locations. Guess they didn't consider a modified Trans-Am worth saving for such uses. Sad.
On the boards, we were just discussing where the 'computers' had been seen at in other films.

Just saw the YT video. Now, that's funny and well done. And, sort of cannon, to boot. For, the whole show gave off some very subtle clues that Kitt might very well have evolved into something a bit less trustworthy. To see that, one must really dive deep in between those written lines, however. I mean, it was more obvious as they were slowly devaluing K.I.T.T. as the years went on. It was like season one had the 'Presidental' parking spot. Season two had more like a 'Employee of the year' spot. By season four...curb side parking, somewhere in the lower stretch of the road was good enough. And, there's a few people out there with photos of K.I.T.T.'s eventual parking spot...under that one tree where all the birds sat in.
I was confused by 'Cannon' for awhile, too. It simply means that it's officially recognized. Like when the people that created a television show or a movie are adding on to it via a sequel or a novel or such, it's labeled 'Cannon'.
Now if a fan of that show or movie writes a fan fiction, that is deemed 'non-Cannon'. It's unofficial. The creators aren't going to write anything in any sequels that occur in a fan fiction world. This can extend forward to creations by other movie and show writers, too. And, it can become a blurred line, to say the least.
One great example of how blurry Cannon vs. non-Cannon can get is found in Star Trek. The original show is Cannon. 100% recognized that every episode was something legit. Then, the show had a sequel in a Saturday morning Anime format. Used most of the original actors and was given both a run date and a DVD set. However, despite having an actual network running it and lots of money going into it's one season creation, those in charge of everything Star Trek have deemed it 'non-Cannon'...almost. They want to almost ignore every shred of story line from the whole Anime show. Except for one episode. The one about Spock and his childhood is the only episode deemed Cannon from the whole show. Now, if that isn't a blurry line, I don't know what is. Though, I can understand when no live show recognizes personal body shields that can offer life support in space and the Anime just does it because it could. (Actually a price cutting technique of explaining how their drawing process worked back then. Why draw whole new sets of characters in space outfits when these dirty cells just naturally created a glow against a dark environment...like space.)

I think I forgot to give you this link.

see this is what thay cod do? any 1 know where they got the video footage of kitt for this? like I mentioned earlier, it doesn't look to be from the original television series, it's too recent too be from the 80's? so I'm looking to find out where they got the images?
all so hear is a Knight Rider fans short that somebody else made
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRtsncZEN2I
the guy that did a Knight Rider short film in Germany. It was I think 40 or 50 min. long he drsed like 1980s Michael Knight and it had seens duckwear the stunt scenes were done with a CGI kitt and other seens wear him with a replica of the car from the series.it was a low-budget project and he sold copies of it back in something like 99 or 2003 , I forget the exact year but at the time the guy had a website up where you could get copies on vhs of on cd video disks . I don't think they had copies on DVD.
not that anybody will leave this but thar was a gi joe live movie project back in the 90's but trying to find a copy of cell is almost impossible.it was in violation of the copyright to make a long story short or it was mant too be a can film and never actually seen by the public. There were several of these projects done in order to retain copyright for building as a example . There was a fantastic for live-action movie done in the 90s . Last I heard any time a copy of it turns up on the Internet. It's really quickly pulled from the Internet. They've been trying to keep it from getting around ever since the 90s. It was only intended to be a project specifically to retain the motion picture rights and not for actual release. the G.I. Joe film I became aware of when it was put up for sale on eBay where you could buy copies of it over the years. It's popped up a few times and each time somebody pops up offering copies of it the add gets pulled within a few days do too . The movie was never licensed for the public or something like that. it had the real dastrow and barness look from the old cartoon series . You could even see samples of the movie on eBay at the time.
the guy who did a German Knight Rider fan film had samples of the movie on his website at the time . That's how I know that there were scenes done and really crude CGI and scenes done with live-action. I do believe he used poser 4 or 5 to do the CGI scenes.
if i cod even find 1 of the sample videos from it. I would post them. Unfortunately, I think it's ancient history and nobody ever bothered to upload a copy to you tub.

I'm still trying to figure out exactly where they got the Video scenes of the Knight Rider car for that fake movie trailer. I know parts of the trailer are from one of the die hard movies but there are several scenes which are clearly video footage with kit and they are only a few year old footage. Given the image quality. They aren't from the 1980s television series.
I'm quite familiar with studios making movies in order to retain copyright without the movies actually being intended to be released to the public thar is a Batman movie that was done if I remember correctly it was Batman or Superman . At any rate the movie has been leaked to the Internet. A few times and each time it appears on a website. It is shortly after removed from the Internet. They keep trying to keep it from getting out to the public. I can't remember if it was Superman or Batman but the movie was done in the 90s. thay did a really bad Nick fury, agent of Shield starring David Hasselhoff in 96 which they intended to be a pilot for a television series. It was produced in large part to retain the movie rights to shield and Nick fury in the 90s. The movie itself wasn't really that bad, per se, it was more the lack of a budget and Hasselhoff did a really good job as Nick fury. Yes, I actually said Hasselhoff did a good acting job. They also did a really bad X-Men movie and 96 in order to retain the movie rights so they could become public domain the movie was done for Fox and if you're not familiar with the movie. I recommend looking it up . The movie was so bad cyclops had x-ray vision as well as is laser vision but Xavier school for the gifted was run by white, which and their main mode of transportation was a badly damaged 1980s suburban that vehicle was covered in dance and scratches and that was how the students and staff members went from the school into town and what have you. It started the guy from Max Headroom as the resident villain and had Jubilee and if memory serves me cyclops was the only other of the axman kids to be in the film. It also had banned she not other characters had their uniforms. There were no axman logos on anything whatsoever lol . There were none of the characters like say Wolverine or storm or Prof. Xavier. Another project was the American doctor who pilot movie done by Fox so that the doctor who writes didn't become public domain. It was because of that movie that there ended up being a ten-year legal battle about who had the rights to Dr. who. Basically, it turned out six or seven different outfits all had technically the rights and it wasn't clear who was paperwork was in order, which was why it took so long before the new series was made. I forget if they made it as far as a live action Spiderman movie in the early 90s once again there was the issue of who had the movie. Things like that always make me chuckle that they had to make those movies in order to avoid stuff becoming public domain. From what I understand, that was how the G.I. Joe live action movie was made in the 90s. Very few people have ever seen, said movie. It is subsequently removed from the Internet.

GE brought good KITT footage to life.
Wolverine actually wasn't apart of the X-Men. Even Stan Lee admits that he wishes that he had dreamed up Wolverine as both a character and to be apart of the X-Men. The merger probably happened in some comic and the movies just leeched in on that particular vision.
As for Dr. Who...there are still fans and fanatics on the hunt for any surviving canisters of film that are hiding out in some cold, dark nook that hasn't been touched in generations. That show is older then any old generic soap opera franchise. (Now, that's a link. David Hasselhoff started his TV career via the soaps.)

Wolverine was originally part of Project Alpha flight after two or three issues of Alpha flight, Marvel comics bought the rights to that flight, which included buying Wolverine almost immediately after buying the rights to Wolverine nearly all the characters from Alpha flight started appearing in X-Men comics. I hate to say it but Wolverine has been a pretty steady recurring character in the axman universe comic books speaking as well as a stand-alone comic book character ever sense. I know he's not one of the characters stand originally created. I forget how many issues of Alpha flight were published before Marvel bought the rights. It was literally a Canadian rip off of the axman so I'm surprised Marvel didn't sue them. I've seen the original books and it was a Canadian axman counterpart. It was a team of mutants Canadians I think they were even referred to as you powered superhumans. The comics creator got the idea from the axman from what I understand. You'd be surprised County characters from all the flight ended up being written into back stories of X-Men characters. If memory serves me Magneto san Quicksilver was one of the original albums like characters as an example, Capt. Canadian is another of the characters aka the Canadian Capt. America lol . He basically wears the same suit as Capt. America i kid you not;) he wears a suit made of the Canadian flag and I can't remember how to spell the proper name of the character he is Capt. canuck or something like that that character in particular as I understand it dates back to the 1940's and he went out to flight first came out was brought in as their leader . I have to look the character up but from what I understand he was a Canadian replica of Capt. America from the 1940s a Canadian who was given a super soldier formula ;) . Needless to say, you're not going to see them get his own movie because so much of the story is almost identical to Capt. America lol. GE brought good KITT footage to life quite clearly proves that they could do a Knight Rider series or even alive movie and at least part of the story containing the original vehicle to some extent. Like I mentioned earlier what I figure they should do is a storyline where the car is found in storage and basically disassembled and the bulk of it is reassembled as well as things replaced with updated technology. Basically they use the shell of the original vehicle and use newer interior better technology and so on. Knight rider had a lot of technologies that was quite ahead of it's time for the 1980s. Being a science fiction product so it wouldn't be that much of a stretch that they would basically take the original vehicle where it had a special alloy component to the body structure and mainly use the original body and a ai component and replace and update a lot of systems with newer technology
One of the jokes and the Knight Rider 2000 movie was when Kitt was on a workbench and he was making her marks like what's going on. I can't see I can't feel anything, and they're trying to explain what happened to him and he makes a comment, god i don't even have enough memory to run Pac-Man and David Hasselhoff comments be quiet get your dating your Self, I was actually surprised the writers in 91 . Thought to make a reference like that about Pac-Man given Pac-Man was still fairly relevant. At that point. How could they have known that Pac-Man. 10 years later would be so heavily remembered and yeah, seen as something from a bygone era. It's kind of funny when you think about it. The car had GPS in the story. Back in 83 GPS didn't really even start to catch on. From what I understand till 87 or 88 were the very earliest I can recall.
Yes, I'm fully aware that David started out and soap operas.
I unfortunately know more about Dr. who than you probably want to hear.
There have been a few things from Dr. who that you would be surprised barely ever seen the light of day. During that mid-90s till the British re-release in 2005 thar was a few under the table projects. There was a pilot made in Canada by a small company for a new Dr. who series, which had a female playing the part of the Dr. as an example. You can find copies of it on YouTube or on foreign sites I see it a few years ago, it wasn't really that bad. Most people consider it to be fan fiction but it was actually a attempt at doing a new series but nobody ever picked it up and I think there was a issue of copyright. A few years after that somebody else did a Dr. who and the cyber man pilot attempt. Once again it was done strictly by a small studio and wasn't really legal. The movie that was made by Fox. If they hadn't tried to change so much would've actually not been so bad.
Depending which side of the Dr. who spectrum use it on a lot of people don't consider it part of the Dr. who franchise. However, the writers clearly consider it part of Dr. who.2005, up series has a couple of times really really really in small ways mentioned that 1990s movie going as far as showing a picture of the Dr. from said movie where they were going through a computer database of information about various generations of the Dr.
That character canine . The robot dog as an example, originally had its own pilot back in the 80s, for whatever reason the series never got picked up and the pilot barely ever even aired on any television networks. I don't know if it even aired in England, maybe more than once. Since the original pilot. They a few back. A new version with a different robot dog sat in a far distant future. This particular version. Unfortunately, only lasted one Season. The adventures of Sarah Jane had the original 1980s canine and the only reason that series ended up being canceled was she, quite suddenly took ill and passed away my apology if I have the name of the series incorrect. She is the only actor that I'm aware of who played the part of one of his companions that is still alive, other than the actress who played ace in the 90's is most likely still alive. Almost every actress who played a female companion too the dr has passed away and even all the male companions passed away. From what I understand from a few documentaries. She was the second last surviving actress. There was one other actress who was older than her and I believe she passed away a few months after. You never hear them even make the slightest mention of the actress who played ace . She was in her 20s in the 90s so I don't know if she's still alive or not. I mean, logic would dictate. She would not have died from old age but any one of a number of things could've happened since the 90s. I think four of the original actors are still alive that plagued the Dr. in the series you never see them making any attempt to really even mention the actor who played the Dr. in the movie lol whatever they do one of those Dr. who reunions it's always the actors from the series only. And the last reunion. They did If I remember correctly, had only three of them laughed and one of him was that damn punk who played Dr. who for one season barely in the 1980s after Tim Baker and frankly most of us consider him to have been one of the two worst actors to ever play the part. The other actor. I'm thinking of is still a lot of as wall;). Basically the last three actors to play the part are still alive. I don't think there's anybody else other than actors that played the role from 2000 something up words. Personally the latest guy they have playing with Dr. I really don't like! Why ever they thought it would be a good idea to do a version of the Dr. who basically acts like house the character done by Hugh Laurie and that television series on Fox. He's got a be the most ignorant and annoying, rude, all-around unlikable version of the Dr. I've ever seen and I've even seen the original black and white series and yes I remember the doctor version that looked like one of the Beatles in his 90s ;) .i liked the last 2 actors who played the Dr. before this guy and I don't understand why either one of them didn't play the character for a few more seasons. I don't know why they keep insisting on replacing the actor after only a season or two. Another thing I can't figure is why they so abruptly canceled torchwood? They tried to bring it back with a different television network, but I don't think it made it past a miniseries pilot that reminds me, I've got to look up and see if they did more with torchwood or not sense than. I know the guy that played Capt. Jack suddenly started aging visibly really fast and they had to start laying the makeup on him something awful, so that he still looked the same. It was as if he suddenly aged 15 years and like two years. My only real beef with torchwood was the gay sex! . I could care less about the character being gay . I just don't want to be watching a series and all of a sudden cock and ass on the screen going at it in a broom closet or a office For several minutes ! at lest I was downloading episodes digitally so I didn't have to get stock with those unfortunate scenes lol i have no wis tookh too be watching science fiction. And then all of a sudden naked man on man :(.
if thay want to do that took at least mix it up a bit and have some frekky alien on man sex going on. girl with blue skin and a cock bookwood be fine with me. . I just have no interest really and seeing to man balls naked client over each other.
i like male on male furry art but don't particularly have much interest in the meal human equivalent ;).
i from the start was thinking if they can do that way not have a dole jander female character? after all it's well past time they actually do that and if thay can show gay sex thay can obviously go that other direction. After all, they did it with 2 girls and a strap on in a few series and a guy who had a sex chang and was a women and hes female girlfrend strap on fucking hem , so why not a dick girl whos clearly sexually active with a male houmen? I figure it's only fair to put it out there and get it over with. If they're going to do everything in between. Some of what I'm referring to by the way, is the science fiction series sances 8 if you're familiar with it. i wach alout of science fiction.

When it comes to Dr. Who, here's my history:
Seen one episode from a PBS broadcast from LA. Older episode.
Seen one episode from the new series about the Doctor visiting some world with flying cars. Somehow, seen that one twice.
General pop culture has told me about the Dalecks and the Cyber Men as being primary enemies. The Doctor has a time ship named Tardis that is bigger on the inside then the exterior and has a tool called the Sonic Screwdriver.
Show's been around before color TV was common and comes and goes as it pleases with a fan quality that you either fall in love with the show or ponder why it even exists.
A few other tidbits. But, hardly able to keep up with a decent discussion about.
Puck Man has never really fallen out of the public's eye. Kind of the grand father of everything video game, like Mario. Addictive, simple fun that even the elderly can grasp with minimal explanation. I guess that's why ole Pac can be found on almost every electronic platform that can support gaming. Why, even a modern arcade may have the latest Pac-Man machine on it's floor. Standard pac-vs-four ghost in a maze situation. Only catch is, solve the maze in one life and you earn xxx number of tickets. (Because all modern arcades are ticket giving/prize winning machines...with a few traditional units, somewhere about.)

Not exactly been living well the last eight or nine years.ive not been actively looking for a arcade machine but missed getting a few of them over the years for a couple hundred bucks, mainly because I didn't have anywhere to get away with putting it but now i do and probably couldn't afford more than 100 bucks for one way I've been living lol . Frankly, what I really wouldn't mind coming across is for cheep or free 1 that is dead and take out the tv tub and put a flat screen and it so i can basically attach whatever videogame system i feal like too it;) yaa ide not have the old arcade controls but faked is thar is actually only a few arcade games I like that I wouldn't mind having a copy of . And it's unlikely I'd ever find one of them without basically paying my soul for it lol.
Revolution , Terminator two, Mortal Kombat, soul caliber two, and night stalkers are the mane 1's i like there's a few others but those are basically I wouldn't mind getting one of them in functioning condition but it's unlikely.thay had old two screens , which is what tends to go in and.

the original run never caught on because the games and equipment were so expensive and people didn't like wearing the glasses.
as for Dr. who . I then watching it on PBS sense I was five or six i even seen took several of the old black-and-white series. The show originally ran up until 1990 or 1991, something like that. I've never been sure why they canceled it. At that point it was still pretty popular. I think it is something you do with the company that had the rights was having money trouble. They didn't do another British series on till I believe it was 2005 was when they started up again. Not that people had not been trying over and over, but there were various legal issues in regards to what company actually owned the rights where so many copies had done Dr. who and the copyright had just never been sorted out in regards to who no longer owned it and who presently owned it. They had a similar issue with Spiderman and the movie production rights, which is why you had copies doing various cheap movies in order to maintain their movie ownership rights to certain properties so they can become public owned, they've got a name for it. When something becomes public domain, actually that's the name I was thinking of public domain. From what I understand Marvel ran into that problem a few times where the movie rights. End up slipping into somebody else's hands due to not being used, and that's when things like that 1980s punisher movie starring longer n from he-man happen ;) odds are you're not for failure with the movie I'm talking about lol they so loosely had the copyright that they could even use the wifgt Skull logo lol.
I'm surprised they haven't tried to do another live-action he-man given they could probably do a much better job nowadays. Not that the 1980s he then was that bad it was. They changed so much of it for the live movie where once again they ran into. I believe some copyright issues such as they either couldn't afford to use orko or they could figure out how to make him look real . So they brought in a new character to replace him and they could only afford to use he-man and Man at arms and i bleve skeletal tour was the only other character they could afford to use and needless to say he was just a guy and a cheesy looking mask,. I know somebody is going to say but the movie cost them so much! It was a low-budget movie for it's time, and was plagued by budget issues from the start. Nowadays they call a $5 million movie low-budget Bruce Campbell will tell you in his date a low-budget film was $1500 ;) block out how much it cost Bruce Campbell and his friends to make evil dead if you don't believe the statement I just made it was somewheres between 1500 and 5000 for the total production cost. Most low-budget movies Bruce dies nowadays cost him between five and nine mil lol sometimes I wonder how he ever breaks even, and it's not that he doesn't mean well. It's just they don't have the budget to do much. I find myself wondering where that 52 9 million at considering how cheap these movies are even compared to the stuff he did in the 80s;) , but you get my point.

Arcade CRTs look the best, play the best (low latency), and are usually repairable. Fixed my share already.
New arcade games and pinballs are still being made, but only Raw Thrills, Namco, Sega, Stern, Taito, and Jersey Jack remain standing. And a few minor players.
You're thinking of Sega's "Time Traveller", which is a laserdisc game.
Neo-Geos are great things to own and add pride to anyone's collection. Jaguars are for a certain breed of collector only.

I missed getting a Neo-Geo for $40 at one point a few years ago. Ironically the guy that bought it. I don't think even realize what the thing was, other than he was buying some videogame box Game machine for his kids to play with, the guy actually said something like that. I think he said something further along the lines of, it looks kind of like their PlayStation. The Neo-Geoas far as I know wasn't very widely sold in Canada and I've only ever seen two games when it came to it being in Canada. The thing after memory serves me was big like a coffee table top.
Well the last I've seen. They stopped using CRT in arcade machines and they started using flatscreen monitors in them. That much I know. I've seen several women screen burned out they replaced it with a flatscreen. I know they still make pinball machines, but I haven't seen a new arcade machine that's around 2004, the last ones I remember were a hunting game deer Hunter or something like that Ward big-game hunter and a game where you play a military shooter. It was something like a promotional game for people interested in the Army kind of thing. Those are the last two I've seen other than new pinball machines. Anything I've seen other than those was made in the 90s unless you count DDR as a arcade. LOL. I don't think I ever seen "Time Traveller for a console system. I only ever seen it for the tabletop arcade where it was a 3-D game and was like two or three dollars to play it, so needless to say, it didn't get much love. I never got to play it the place. It was at the other couple of machines were like 25 and $.50 and it was like two or three dollars LOL. I can't say I've seen it anywhere's sense the 90s. I knew it was time something I couldn't remember the exact name "Time Traveller sounds like yet. The last arcade. I remember in Nova Scotia close down somewheres between 2000 and 2004. I don't believe they have any arcades lab. Other than the so-called fun zone at the theaters and calling it an arcade is a slap in the face. Usually they've got four or five children's occupation devices lol . They'll have say a pinball machine war to and always there's a bloody DDR! And they'll have of course the Claw . I swear every theater has to have one. LOL. And usually they have stacker, again, it's not really a arcade more of a money stealing machine like the claw. I miss real arcades. I've seen Chucky cheese on television but I've never seen places like that around here. I've heard talk recently on the radio about a Chucky cheese style restaurant where it's basically a huge arcade for grown-ups and they serve food. You can bring your kids, but place is mostly frequented by adults. I haven't been able to find out yet if it's in PEI and Nova Scotia. It's something I've heard a couple of radio DJs yapping about that. They had gone there and didn't know the place was even around but I don't MY brother had a Nova Scotia radio station on war, a PEI station. The last arcade game ire member playing was sold caliber 2 at an arcade in Halifax, which they close down a few years after. I had never played it before and I think after spending two or three dollars. I played through the whole thing lol I got the hang of it. Almost immediately, for whatever reason. I know there was a dark stalkers arcade which I wouldn't mind getting a hold of a working version, but it's even harder to find than the console version of the game:(.
I more than likely be looking at 800 or 900 if I found one still working, which is way out of my price range.
You'd probably crapping your pants if you realize what arcade genes like donkey kong Pac-Man or some of the others we remember as kids sell for today even all beat up if they're still working. Frankly, I don't know how much I'd play Pac-Man lol . But I admit I wouldn't mind having one in my living room. Ms. Pac-Man was one of the first video games I played when I was really young.i still like to play just;) , there are some old video games. I'm guilty of going back and playing.

Ever since home gaming gained enough power, arcades have fallen to the wayside...except in the orients, (especially Japan) where the culture of socializing the night away over returning home is far more common.
There are trends out there. Like these things known as Bar-Cades. Many are kind of sad. Basically, they buy up any old machine and run it as is. If the control isn't great or the monitor barely works or no audio...doesn't matter. As long as it will run and the place sells liquor. A few die hards still exist, doing anything to keep the doors open. Though, it's still mostly the laundromats and theaters that still host the oldies.

They've stopped making new arcade game machines around 2004 anything I've seen at theaters and such are old machines that have been Going by various maintenance businesses.

Actually, that's not entirely true. There are still companies out there that release modern arcades and pinballs. Alas, both are on life supports. Why, the other week, I went after a pizza and in the arcade room was a couple brand new releases. Jurassic World is a game that goes hand-in-hand with the recent movie of the same name. A massive cabinet for two players. Gun game. Sit in. Huge screen. Flashy lights and a big banner make it almost an eyesore. The other probably released last year. Driving game that works with the Batman franchise. Huge, sit in cabinet with light FX and another massive screen and signage. Get to choose between a number of Batman generational cars as you fight crime on the streets of Gotham.
However, I really do expect that outside of the Orients, it might be hard to count over ten new arcade and five pinball title releases over the course of a year.
The ticket side of on-location gaming, however, seems to be a far more prosperious nitche market.

i know thay are making new 1's that look like the old 80s machines but they are strictly for private homes. They are for businesses.

There are both private and public versions out there. Tend to run on disguised versions of Windows OS. Which makes them a PC in a cabinet that understands 'coin up'. It's a good way to keep the classics around when the aging original hardware becomes ever more unreliable.

A ton of the old machines are still out there. Some are lurking in the oddest of locations while others end up in places like you mentioned. A lot, however, sit in warehouses in long term storage until someone finally stops paying the rent or they get bought out for private use. These days, the Bar-Cades are looking for bargain treasure troves like those warehouses.
On the YouTube's, one of my fav's channels is 'John's Arcade'. This guy started out with a love for the classics and acquired a few common titles. These days, he's migrated over to complete restoration projects and pursuing rarities. The guy's nabbed himself a 'Computer Space' and an 'I, Robot', for example. At this pace, he'll just have to open up a museum arcade of some sort...just for the space of this hobby. And, it's mind blowing to think just how cheap some of this stuff goes for. Just takes knowing the right contacts and hounding CraigsList.

Quite the collector of the old games, as well. Was working on a listing of everything that I had. Only, that Android tablet got a virus and I need to fix that before continuing.
Ironically, I know that my Jaguar has had exactly one hour's use in my ownership. "Where did you learn to fly?" Not on a cat's console.

Ironically, I have a Nintendo virtual boy i payed lass than 2.00 for;).

Picked mine up when BlockBuster's was just trying to dump everything in that line. Came with a sweet carry case and the only way to get AC. Plus, a better portion of the library.
Had to sell it, sometime after for some quick cash, though. Granted, I never regretted selling that. Nintendo really made a lemon by making it so hard to work with...besides the eye strain it induced.
I just wish they would re-release a few of the good titles to the 3DS. Modernized with color, of course.

I've still got lots of games in storage, too. Perhaps, some day...
Here's something that's a bit sad about collecting arcades for home use. Seems that many people are becoming nostalgic for them. So, games that were going for prices you wouldn't believe a few years ago are beginning to rise in value. Between home collections and these Bar-Cades, a machine that could be found for under $50 working may now see prices above $100.
However, I am reminded of one of John's videos where he and friends go raiding a warehouse lot that has some arcades in storage by multiple operators. He also found a couple arcade housings that somebody no longer wanted to store...just taking on Nature out in the grass. Still had the boards and power supplies in them, too.

Kind of sounds like that very limited goal of 3-D gaming that came right after the Dragon's Lair/Space Ace games. Think they had at least two titles that went with the notion. One was a one-on-one fighter and the other was where you played a cowboy with a gun vs. time traveling foes. The idea hit around the Game Crash period and it went the way of other promissing titles like, ironically, a laser disc game for Knight Rider. Very, VERY little is known about that title. Only that it was planned to use show footage from a laser disc as apart of the game play and probably have a cockpit sit in model. Slightly more was known about another Glenn Larson show to game, Battlestar Galactica. It was to be a laser disc based game where you flew around in a Viper, shot Cylons in space and landed on the Galactica. Progress on space flight and landing footage has survived the years to be found on YouTube. But, the game was cancelled when the crash struck.

Hmmm...Sega 3-D glasses from the 80's. I think that I've read about those. Used a super high speed wheel in the 'lens'. It blocked one eye while letting light through to the other. By exposing one eye, then the other to a synced picture, it fooled the eyes into seeing 3-D on a 2-D screen. And now, Nintendo 3DS and movies have such a hyper refresh rate that they can pull off a similar effect.

===
There are both private and public versions out there. Tend to run on disguised versions of Windows OS. Which makes them a PC in a cabinet that understands 'coin up'. It's a good way to keep the classics around when the aging original hardware becomes ever more unreliable.

i in fact seen at a theater. What could possibly be the last Copy of revolution x with Aerosmith . If you're familiar with the game? I hadn't seen the arcade version in over 10 years so I was happily surprised to see a functional version in a commercial venue. I thought all the machines had been picked up by collectors i nover did find out who was renting it to the theater and it eventually got taken out and replaced with ddr, Jesus, I hate ddr! most arcade machines. I see at the theaters are from the late 90s, and they've been Going.
===
+++
I've never been an opportunity to pack up an old arcade machine cheap or I have one where I'm a bit of a gaining collector. I've got quite a bit of old video games stop most people don't have even most videogame collectors don't have some of the stuff I have lol but i still dont have a Atari Jaguar or a neo go.
===

===

Most of my stuff has been packed in Rubbermaid containers for years i inherited a house and some day ill have the place cleaned up enough to get a decent television and have all my gaming shit set up on coffee tables and whatnot in the living room. Could be another 10 years before I end up doing that. The way things are going.
===

There's one arcade machine. I don't feel like really imagining because nobody's ever heard of it it was from Sega and it's one of the rarest you'll ever hear of ;) odds are you probably never even seen it . I only know that because I seen it once.it was a table machine and the video was projected with a series of mirrors so that it basically was 3-D and you can put your hand right through that gaming image. The machines were way ahead of their time and never caught on, and were very expensive.
===
+++
That game was something like time crisis or dinosaur crisis something along those lines, it was decently a time travel game and was one of the first video games to have scenes with live actors like a movie. This was before Sega started doing CD games. I might add. I'm sure most of you aren't even familiar with the old Sega 3-D glasses gaming systems from the 80s that are the same technology that they use now for the new 3-D televisions and you don't see Srga at getting any credit for that. Do you despite the factthey came out with the same technology back in 1983.
---
Hmmm...Sega 3-D glasses from the 80's. I think that I've read about those. Used a super high speed wheel in the 'lens'. It blocked one eye while letting light through to the other. By exposing one eye, then the other to a synced picture, it fooled the eyes into seeing 3-D on a 2-D screen. And now, Nintendo 3DS and movies have such a hyper refresh rate that they can pull off a similar effect.
in my life in canada;) you see allmost no arcade machines. if you do thar 2003 and older. if you can find a working or dead 1 even a game no 1 wood want the cheapest I've ever seen was 600 :( and you basically didn't even know what game was in the machine, or if it was working . I've seen a grand total of 6 for sale in 15+ years;) other than a few listings in the newspaper where there are like eight and 900. with private collectors nowadays it's almost impossible to find one for sale where somebody doesn't want a crazy price.you find a working pack man or dk or Street fighter or , soul caliber or dark stalkers or revolution or Terminator two as a few examples and youl pay 800 or more! you find house of the dead and it's big money too. thar is like 10 or 12 if i cod find 1 of that 10 or 12 list it wood be cool;). unfortunately, the machines I like I'll never have one because these diehard collectors will pay 1000, and more. yoo me thar worth max like 200 working and you can't even get the wooden box for 200;) . Believe me, I've tried lol. if i ever came acrost a box with dead insids i addmit ide pout a flatscreen in it with a old sega or something like that. Attached to the television and jest use whatever joystick goes to that particular system.i am not a diehard collector ide jest like to have a arcade machine or even have 1 of my old favorite games as a arcade machine that still work.it made my hart sink too see a working copy of Revolution being used by one of those rental copies like It's a pretty rare arcade machine to see in Canada. Arcades pretty much died out around 2004 with Canada. I don't know about the US but I never see them Any newer around here than 2004. if i cod I admit I wouldn't mind living in Japan for a few years but i cant speak Japanese and I can't afford the living.i jest love thar culture I don't know if it would make sense to somebody like you because you've never been stuck living the way I have most of my life that ide rather spend a few years of my life living in one of the few places in Japan but I just can't afford it, nor do I speak Japanese.thar basic culture is quite different than what you see and Canada and the US add to it i live in a hell hole it's like being in jail. Basically where I'm at. I'll be trapped here the rest of my life. And when I die somebody will just very neat and the backyard.it's a miserable place and there is nothing in any direction for between 40 and 80 miles resembling civilization.it's geting to the point American tourists come hear and with in 3 day's run from here screaming to never come back . When they originally planned a two or three week trip thanking how nice and quite this place is before they get trapped here a no wear hell it i and realize just how Miserable no wear hell it is.
anything you want or nead is 50 too100 miles away thar is Little to nothing to do and nowhere to go 80% of the place is retired people that moved here to die. if you looked up where I live you think all. What a wonderful place lol the Internet lies;) the tourism websites for where I live. The last time I even walked haf the places on ine closed down four and five years ago and nobody ever updated the information on the Internet lol .i had some 1 asking wear the yellow rose restaurant is? you don't know how hard it was not to laugh in their face do too it closed over 10 years ago do to bad water and these people are telling me, but it's still listed on the tourism website as being this nice restaurant ;). it was a shit hole and in violation of several health codes even when it was open
where I live is what they call a small town in the US it would even be considered a truck stop. we have no hookers for 150 miles . That should tell you how are about a little crappy place It is. even the bars are closed after something like 11 o'clock.
Most of them close at like 10 ;). Could you imagine having a prior in the US that closes at 10 o'clock? If you don't drink. There is nothing for you to do for around 60 or 80 miles in any direction. If you can believe this any time anybody tries to open any kind of a business that remotely resembles bringing outside commerce to the area, the local politicians immediately screw it over for it ever opens. I've watched business after business attempt to open around where I live and never even get open their doors. There was a pool hall and an arcade and that just caused way too much of an Issue for the seniors. So after that, anything that closely resembles any kind of social activity never gets to open their doors. The nearest theater is 90 miles round-trip. As an example. You don't want to know how bad the Housing market is ! The most I can hope to get for my place would not even be 50,000, and any other part of Nova Scotia, the same place would be worth around 200 too 400,000 ;). but where I'm at is sold bad. Even the real estate agents won't touch places here.yaa we have no crime we all so have no f all! yaa every third idiot is selling weed;) but with how many people are selling it Most diler's eather sale in the city or don't make enough to even have a survivable income lol.
it get's me whenever I meet somebody in the US, complaining about being trapped in some place they called small town. When they've got no idea what being trapped in a small town really is. You're not in a small town. If you can Walk to the nearest Walmart!
. The nearest Walmart where I live is a 90 mile round-trip drive.we have a corner store,1 bank a grocery store and 3 or 4 bar's and 2 gas stations and that's about it for 80 miles in three directions and 40 in the other. Everything closes around 10 at night.
the Nintendo virtual boy i have i bleve is the 1 from the block buster in truro;) allmost none ever sold too the public in Nova Scotia when they come out from Nintendo Very few sold I never did get why they didn't make the thing full color lol. If it had been a lot cheaper and full-color it probably would've caught on.i sold most of my games other than the 1's i want to at some point play.
so I'm not one of those gamers that basically has crazy amounts of video games that I will never even play. There aren't that many. I hung onto that. I don't want to play at some point.i hled on too a few like the firt rustling game for Nintendo and the goonies ;)

It's like John says, 'got to make those contacts'. He gets the inside scoops to operators and collectors that have games to discard at unbelievable prices. Why, he scored a super rare arcade frame with a game in it for $50 by being connected. Operator had no idea the body was super rare. Even I've scored part of a Pac for under $100 through e-bay. No body or monitor. Haven't the space right now, anyhow.

Well, I do live in a small US town. It's not so small, though. They do call themselves a city. And, it's smack dab in the middle of national forest lands. Growth potential is near zero, as this city has relatively little room to stretch out in. And, as you said, I can walk to the local Wal-Mart. Neighboring branch in any direction is about an hour's drive, if not more so. The bank that I have an account with is a nationally known one. And, I chuckle when the ATM states that it is out of order. Brings up this screen that advises where to visit the next few closest branches at. Even took a photo. (Not posted, though.) If memory serves, they're all 150 miles+ in any direction. This city is self contained with most of the basics. Even several micro arcades. Pool. Bowling. Video rental shop. Bike route. An airport with a small charter for reaching neighboring cities with. Places to visit. A co-worker is planning an adventure to find where they filmed Star Wars at in a few months. It's not depressing. Just inconvenient to get out of. If I want to reach a true, modern arcade/mini golf, it's a good three hour drive, though. So, to do that becomes a full day's investment and an expensive one, at that.
There's also a danger that this city could dry up. see, there's one main road way in and out. Apart of that stretch is on federal land and the support under the road is literally washing away. Being on Federally protected land, there's red tape a thousand miles long. If they want to repair the road, it will take years...like 2031 or 2035...just to start. If Nature erodes that bit of land, this becomes a city on the end of a dead end road that can only be reached from another state. Can bet that that Wal-Mart would move away, pronto. As would most of the other businesses.
Still, it sounds far more lively then the place you described. Guess the pot heads outnumber the elderly, here. Instead, the homeless walk the streets at night like zombies.

Nintendo's excuse for making the V-Boy a red only system was that to go full color would have (somehow) trippled the selling cost. And, they wisely felt that the system was already costing more then it should have from a consumer's point of view.
That actually seems kind of stupid in today's world. We can pull off full color LCD for insanely low prices. Alas, back then, it was more of an LED screen they were using.

Something like $20 including shipping, maybe 30 you can get led tv glass from Japanm .they're basically a poor man's vR had set .
they were pretty good, considering they cost almost nothing and look like a pair of sunglasses with a wire coming off to plug into the DVD player. when I picked up a pair, the first thing I thought was why did Nintendo make the virtual boy like that? They could've done it and could do it today with their technology. Even back then. The way I'm thinking they should've made the virtual boy would've made it extraordinarily cheaper than the version they brought out and would've made it easier to use.
As for a small town. We have no homeless people for around 60 miles in any direction till you till you get to truro and then you get what we refer to as the invisible Homeless. The cops and local politicians started a little stun that the media basically doesn't care about and nobody will publicly admit but if they spot somebody that looks Homeless at night or sleeping somewheres in public in the daylight they find themselves force-fed into the back of a cop car and driven outside the boundaries of the Indian reserve pointed to words Halifax city and received a boot or a night stick firmly planted up there ass and get told too had for the city where They belong . Because homeless people are bad for tourism. They may not be doing that anymore but I know they were still doing it three years ago I know there's around 20 or 30 homeless people in truro , or be out of sight once the lights go down.a Indian who happened to be out without his ID and was walking home drunk brought light to this particular little stunt . When he turned up dead in a ditch frozen to death from exposure after witnesses seen him being picked up by police for what people felt was public drunkenness. I don't think they ever came up with an explanation how he ended up from the back of the cop car and several miles down past the other side of the Indian Reservation did in the ditch.I think that's when they put a stop to the dragging the homeless people out at night and telling them they had for the city. but I note of this day, you still don't see a single homeless person after dark they do a real good job of staying hidden because they think the cops well drag them, off and it;s a 80 mile track too the city or that's where they'd be. It's a lot more difficult than you think to travel that far when you're homeless and they believe it or not would be a lot better off if they could get to Halifax. I forget how many thousand homeless. They figure there are M city of Halifax.

It's a real problem about the homeless. And almost seems inhuman with what can happen. So, I'm not surprised in the least.
Here's another story that came across the feed about what the police were doing in Florida. They're probably being real harsh to the homeless. But, this story hit harder because they were doing it to an elderly man...that was just trying to offer aid. Basically, the guy had made it apart of his life's work to provide regular meals to the needy. And, he had been doing this for decades. Suddenly, it literally became an unwritten law that just helping the homeless was a crime and he was arrested and treated rather poorly...all for the crime of handing out food.
If there's one great benefit that I can foresee the future of an automated world potentially bringing out is the revolution of a cashless society. A world where a lack of jobs doesn't mean that people slip through the cracks and have to face this seedy treatment. After all, the homeless include mentally ill that really need help to people that just lost jobs and couldn't pay the bills of a normal life, winding up with nothing left to their names but a hopeless ditch and cruel, cold folks.
Of course, traditional ways of governments needing taxes and Party A needing trade from Party B will hang on to the bitter end, even in a world where Party A is purely automated and only needs oil and electricity and maybe the occasional replacement part.

how's that for irony . I was going to mention about the law in Florida making it illegal to feed the homeless and i read down and you brot it up;). I was going to mention somebody had told me. Although I don't know how much truth there is that there was legislation passed in Florida to help push the homeless to other states do too thay are bad for the tourism industry and 1 law makes it illegal for to feed the homeless and that includes various charities. By the way, such as churches the media lost interest in it pretty quickly.a . Neither really bizarre law is the anti- reclining law.this is you can be charged or arrested if a police officer feals you are sleeping or as thay feal in a reclining resting position in a public area. can you actually wrap your mind around that? Apparently quite a few tourists have received tickets or even been arrested for sleeping somewheres or being in a reclining position at say a air port, park or bus terminal.
It's a bit of a nightmare world that parallels some visions found in science fiction. Certainly gives merit to a picture I once saw about a public park sign. It mentioned that very warning about not being seen laying upon the ground or on benches.
And, something in the back of my thoughts keeps saying that one reason the charitable old man made the news at all was because the treatment that he received somehow during the arresting process had left him with a broken arm, requiring medical attention.
I don't know what is going on with the world, these days. Though, there are tidbits that slip through that make it feel like the police are going to become more and more serious to some kind of underground agenda...the likes of which may be unfavorable to many.

by the way, there's a video. I've been trying to find for several years. If anybody knows how to find it on YouTube? a guy over and Germany made a Knight Rider fan fell, which actually was really good. I don't know how long it is, but basically there was a website. At one point you could buy it on DVD but I was never able to find it on YouTube he did seens with a replica of the car he bilt and he dressed up like David Hasselhoff and the action scenes in the movie were done using computer CGI animation similar to the PlayStation videogame. Unfortunately, the PlayStation videogame was never released in the American market. By the way, if anybody's looking for it:(. I actually have a advertisement around here someplace for the American PlayStation Knight Rider videogame, which was never released in the US despite having a advertisement release date. It was only released in England and won't work on the Canadian/American PlayStation.thar is a Knight Rider videogame for the old TurboGrafx 16 but that particular game is about as easy to obtain a copy of as finding plutonium. That game is out there, but when it comes up on eBay. The last time I seen it. It sold for around $100 or more. The game is worth like 20 bucks and was extremely mass-produced but it's basically anybody that has a copy won't sell it. Ironically, it was going for nine dollars at RadioShack. Back in the day and I was never able to find a copy. I still have a turtle graphics 16 and Turbo dual ;). i loved that system when I was a kid. They were way ahead of their time and didn't catch on because they were so expensive. I wish I could go back in. By a lot of video games. When they end up going on sale for like five bucks each. Most of the games are really heard find other than the ones that aren't worth having. There were around 200 or 300 games for the TurboGrafx 16/ Turbo dual.I used to have a master list from nes of all the games for the console but needless to say I lost it long ago.i am actually surprised with all the various 1980s things being made into movies and new television series that nobody's actually done something more recent. With Knight Rider and done a better job. I never did understand why the latest Knight Rider series did not continue past a complete first season. It was unfortunate that they never actually finished the first season. If I'm not mistaken the first season was actually one or two episodes short of the full season was the impression I got given it wasn't 24 episodes. Full season would've been 24 episodes.thay as a example never completed. The storyline explaining what happened to Dr. Lightman it was clear his death was faked and he was alive somewheres, if I'm right being used by a terrorist organization. It was I admit a rather cheesy death fake;) . The whole airplane and nobody found storyline gets used quite a bit.
the plane just subsequently suddenly disappears from radar and the crash scene and body never really found completely. Or am I the only person that realized that it was a death fake bit;).
It was kind of funny the new carr evel kit was a transformer and a stupid looking off-road vehicle for military use , and it was voiced by the same voice actor that did optimist prime lol I'm surprised they didn't have the car make the Transformers sound;) lol sadly the vehicle had sold very few lines and such a small appearance. It was basically and something like 4 min. of the episode in appearance and I think had four lines. They should of had the vehicle with a more realistic looking body. Even if it had been a military vehicle. Should've been something like a tank or a Humvee design instead of that weird looking doom buggy giant creature thing.
It's just kind of ironic, they've done Starsky and Hutch, the A-Team, 21 jump Street, and not knihgt rider?
I suppose we should be happy they never did a Knight Rider cartoon and the Terminator cartoon pilot was never completed;) in the 90's they were going to do a Terminator two animated series loosely based on the second movie lol I'm not making that up! . From what I understand the pilot never even got finished and they brought out the toys without the cartoon being finished production.
the toy's included a early 90s Camaro with a bazooka mounted on the roof and a liquid metal Terminator splattered across the front lol, if memory serves me that particular toy was recalled because of kids getting poked in the eye by the missile from the bazooka.
with how big a potential franchise Knight Rider is if it was handled properly. I'm surprised they don't do something even a properly done CGI primetime animated series wood be ok if the writing was done properly. And not some sort of Hokey Pokey and That a writing job. Don't get me wrong, I'm well aware how bad some of the original Knight Rider episodes were such as somebody controlling cars with a computer and a Atari joystick and who can forget the exploding ghetto blasters that before the bombs went off they would turn into a robot that did absolutely nothing. Why would you need a ghetto blaster with a bomb inside to turn into a robot? The robot doesn't walk or do anything. It just stands there lol it wasn't like little wheels came out from under the radio and it went scooting off after its target or something like that.
Werewolf was another series. I'm actually surprised they haven't done a remake or street talk the night Rider rip off about a guy with a heavily computerized motorcycle and there was a mad Max style television series that ran for about six episodes, which was kind of a cross between Knight Rider and mad Max in the mid-80s. I don't remember the name of the series, but it was set in a mad Max style world and the group had a transport truck similar to Goliath. In night Rider. I forget if the truck had a AI like kit and the truck separated in too a car liike vehicle and a helicopter similar to air Wolf lol. The series had that Australian energizer battery Moloch guy as the lead actor. I frankly can't remember the name of the series to look it up on YouTube. I'm sure some do you guys remember the Australian went Moloch that used to yell energizer oi oi oi and for whatever reason that stupid commercial got him a couple of sitcom acting jobs that never took off.

I've never run across this fan based movie DVD or any mention about it. Just never came up on the KRO boards.
I am aware of the Europe only set of KR games, though. They look like they outdid that NES game.
However, here's a game to keep your eyes on. http://www.theknightrider.com/media/videos/ The guy's whose dream has been to make a game around Knight Rider has been dedicated for a great deal of years. He kept trying engine after engine, never satisfied. Now that he found his engine and got a team of volunteers together, they've been hard at work on making their own GTA style game...that's not so violent...and it'll all be free to play, once they are done. (Hopefully, they can include a scene maker ability, so that anyone can put together their own fan fiction movies.) So far, Universal has permitted it to be...just so long as zero profits are made.
As for KR '08, it's really amazing to think that during that time period, NBC even considered making such an expensive action show. Sadly, it was a bit over the top with it's tongue in cheek approach. The ratings just didn't hold up and NBC couldn't see investing any more money into a show that wasn't bringing in the viewing numbers. That's just the way television works. Which is what surprises me on how Viper managed to keep coasting along. I'm so convinced that Dodge was paying the bill over anybody else on that one.
What was '08 even thinking about with their revamped K.A.R.R., anyway? It was a bad battle and a lousy idea. All the suspense they were pulling for; wasted so badly. Oh, well.
As for a movie, there -was- one hanging about in limbo by Glenn A Larson, himself. What may happen to it...if anything at all...remains a mystery. Especially since the man had passed on. And, what a legacy of television gems he had created during his many years. Not just KR, but Buck Rodgers and Battlestar Galactica and Fall Guy and more. He was a big action force in the '70s and '80s. Entertainment need never stop running some of his contributions for generations to come.
There's been little tidbits that come across about a semi that had a heli ability and such that have been talked about. But, the information has always been brief. And, I am familiar with the motorcycle show...never really saw it, though.
There is a single shred of evidence that the FLAG semi was self driving. One scene. RC III was driving. Yet, clearly had a TV up in the cab with a sports event. Clearly, he wasn't driving down the road. Which makes sense. They already had the tech. Now, if the semi was sentient or just a dummied down version of KITT is never clear.
If there will ever be another KR series or movie, they'd better hurry up and make it. The world is catching up. All too soon, we're all going to have the option of owning a car that can drive itself. Experimental machines are popping up that can hold their own on conversations. Pretty soon, it's only going to be a matter of fantasy that your Google SmartCar can't do 150 MPH with a battle ready shell for crashing through that land slide or forest fire with. KR was partially about the 'what could be' and 'what might be possible on the cutting edge'. It'll need a new set of tricks to pull out of that bag, now.

what I'm going to tell you will probably make your head do a 360! After the 2008 Knight Rider series was canceled the American military. Believe it or not for a while was involved with some of the special effects designers from the new series do too 1 of the prop car's was a giant remote control drone car! it was a prototype for the series and could be completely operated for quite a distance with nobody in the vehicle. All operations functions could be performed using a wireless laptop connection or a large remote similar to what you would have for a toy car from Walmart you cod drive the car at full speed do any manner of stunts open and close the doors, roll the windows up and down. Open the trunk lid you name it all from a laptop and a series of cameras in the vehicle, which displayed onto the laptop screen. They never really did much with it in the series because they were scared of having a malfunction but the US military got involved with it and assess than have made several prototypes with this design as well designs quite different universities at this point one task in particular was a series of autonomous all-terrain vehicles, which had to travel. I believe the test was 300 miles across the desert without any human contact. Paul's wagon designers had one of the prototypes that completed the test run.
The military has been working to try and get tanks and troop carriers that can be controlled the same as the drones are and have a back up auto drive system. Two or three years ago a group of college students in England created the first artificial intelligent vehicle to officially pass the British road teast.
ai car's are not at all. Science fiction , if you log on, you tub the American military are still in beta testing for ai all-terrain transport vehicles which don't have a human driver. trick is at this point by law you can't have a driverless vehicle in Canada or the United States and several other countries. It's not a matter of if you can build it. That technology has been around for over nine years but the law at this time does not permit it. There's even discussion whether or not it is legal for these vehicles that are presently in production which can permit themselves where you push a button and release the steering wheel. Take your feet off the panels and the vehicle proceeds to park itself. They've been chirping whether or not that violates a couple of regulations here in Canada to do with care and control of a motorized vehicle.
There was a case in Halifax back in the 1980s, where a college student got in a serious amount of trouble for building a remote operated limousine. Basically there were a series of cameras on the dash and the vehicle was controlled by a remote similar to what you would use for a toy car and he sat in the backseat driving. The limousine. I forget how long they got away with this for a whole lot of charges were laid. Like I said that was when people actually found out there is a form of regulation on the box, not allowing vehicles to be used in the public that are remote operated under the care and control regulation of motorized vehicles.
They have this current commercial basically advertising that this particular car is not for somebody who wants a vehicle that drives itself And every time that commercial comes on, my brother has some big fit about you'll never see AI controlled vehicles because they're not legal under Canadian law and furthermore, they can be hijacked remotely.hell it's actually already happened.
About 12 years ago or more thar was a few assassinations by hijacking vehicles driving systems. I forget exactly how many years ago. It was, but there have been a series of kills on certain profile targets wear a remote device was attached to the computerized system of the vehicle wich when the device was activated remotely triggered the acceleration system too go to maximum and eliminated the drivers access to steering and braking , resulting in the vehicle driving to its maximum speed before driving into something ! a couple of these were caught onto where they were originally believed to have been driver related death but a foreign electronic object was found on the vehicles and later proven to have been a electronic device , which allowed outside control of the vehicles systems. OnStar as an example can activate or deactivate your vehicle remotely as well as open or locked the doors and roll the windows up and down this particular service has been available for some time and has been used as a anti-that function several cases have occurred where American police departments contacted OnStar about a vehicle that they were in pursuit of and the vehicle had OnStar , where they proceeded to shut the engine down and remotely lock the doors of the vehicle in order to and the pursuit and keep the criminal inside the vehicle so law enforcement could arrest, said subject.
Most of today's vehicles have electronic steering and acceleration and even breaks any of wich can be remotely accessed by a device being put on the vehicle. That's not science fiction. By the way , Cadillac I think was the first to have a fully biological drive system where none of it is actually complete mechanically assisted Cadillac originally had at one point just the acceleration and braking system being electronic, but from what I understand some of their vehicles also have electronic steering. The electronic system Cadillac's are the vehicle on her furring to that more than one assassination has been done with a device that was installed into the vehicles electrical system allowing outside control . There have been discussions and rumors about the OnStar systems that it is believed somebody could hack a vehicle with OnStar and take over control of the vehicle.
hell , there were aircraft that have been in use since the late 90s that the autopilot function can fly as well as takeoff or land the airplane. The first one of these planes to be put into public service. Ironically, Cranach, less than six months into its usage. It was the most technologically advanced plane in the world and crashed due to pilot error. The pilot who was flying the plane was having trouble something to do with the new control system and made a error which resulted in if memory serves me the plane going off course and flying into a mountain. There was a documentary about it Not that long ago, which is how I know.given they had planes that can fly Take off and land all of which I ate automated computer system and that was back in the 90s . Obviously they could do the exact same thing with cars. It's not a question of the technology being there, but it's actually a question of the law in place, not allowing it the same as certain guidelines of the law to do with control of a motorized vehicle.
as an example in the United States, Canada and several other countries you can't legally build and operate a flying car! it is actually a law if you look it up. That's why they're actually have never been any attempts to make a vehicle for the public wich does not travel on four wheels, but instead travels in some way on the air. They literally will not allow it. They claim it is not safe to allow the general public to have access to vehicles that do not travel on wheels. There is a guy over in the US that found this out when he tried to build a prototype flying car. He built several prototypes that were completely functional . The last one looked something like the 1980s Batmobile and was a two seater car. He had to have a pilot's license and at some point he found out you couldn't legally produce them, even for people that had pilots license. The American government. Strictly, would not allow them to be put into production.

Actually, while I wasn't aware that the military had a hand in the series, I did know that around that time, they were very interested in hosting a competition for automated cars. Had a long distance road test down in the rural mountains of Mexico and were inviting any teams of brilliant people to build these vehicles. While the first year's competition was a complete failure, it's following year brought forth a nice amount of successful vehicles that had crossed the finish line. Some rough terrain, too. Dusty roads that went to dirt roads and had a neck that went through narrow paths up in some mountain ranges. While the race was never meant to have any cars pass each other, one vehicle had partially broken down and was limping it's way through the tight trails while another approached. Nobody designed the car to do anything in this situation. But, it's on-board logic slowed down to avoid collision and continuously scanned for a safe place to pass at, similar to the scenario that was found in the KR pilot. After all, this is the US military we're talking about. The same ones that bought into video games back in the 80s for use as tank simulation trainers.
But, 9 years? Oh, no. Here's something that might make your head spin 'round. Back in the days when Knight 'Rider was seeing it's original airing dates, there was a self piloting van, running on a highly advanced 1980 computer. It had to be contained in a van, as the size was massive. And (been awhile since I saw the special) it only saw 3 (Or maybe it was 5) feet in front of where it was heading. Then, after a good 30 minutes of processing and determining that the surface in front of it was safe and unobstructed, proceeded to drive...a whole 3 (or 5) feet. Then, it hit the brakes and took another 30 minutes to determine the next 3 (or 5) feet was safe to drive over. Not exactly Knight Rider and probably would lose a race to a snail and turtle. But, it was indeed independent of any Human operators...at least, until the gas tank ran dry. Before the Google SmartCar's first experimental rides even touched pavement, this guy's self piloting van had gone well past those ancient days and could handle 70 MPH, continuously. It was a scary notion, however, when he admitted that the thing was still only looking 3 (or 5) feet in front of it's path.
Just a few weeks ago, Jeep had to recall over 1.7 million vehicles over a security issue of this nature. The on-board computer could operate everything from steering/gas/brakes to the doors/windows, even the radio. It combined that with remote access via some program that hackers found a weakness in. Just as long as they could see where they were going, these guys claimed that they could totally hijack and control the vehicle via the internet from anywhere on Earth. The really scary bit was they were going to some computer convention to partially release the code that did it to anyone that wanted it! Because of how tied in everything has become, one doesn't even need to attach any additional hardware, anymore. It's all become as fragile as a bunch of 0's and 1's for security.
Now, so far, it seems the Google SmartCar has been reported in having fourteen collisions. Most are rear enders, caused by distracted Human drivers that couldn't work the brakes, properly. The rest are side collisions. Again, Human error. But, I highly suspect that these Google cars have remote internet access and that means they are mere time bombs to contracting specialized viral attacks. Even if the virus only keeps the car from working, it can ruin people's lives. Or, far more threatening is a virus that undoes avoidance software with collision alternatives. The threat is all too real. And KR taught me that.
America has some strict rules, all right. My dad found that out when designing a prototype motorcycle. Something about the motor was illegal. The fist clenching loop hole was that if the whole operation had just moved a few miles to the south and started assembly in Mexico...THEN the new line of motorcycles were imported, NO PROBLEM! As if it were some kind of sneaky law to help bring all industry down in the US of A.
As for strict flight rules, I can easily understand. Some people have enough trouble just operating on a two dimensional plane. Couldn't imagine the problems that would arise from introducing that third dimension of up and down. We're not meant to fly. Without a ton of experience and training and discipline, hardly anyone out there would be able to do what birds naturally can by flying in tight conditions and making bank turns, as if one mind were in control of the whole flock.

Without a ton of experience and training and discipline, hardly anyone out there would be able to do what birds naturally can by flying in tight conditions and making bank turns, as if one mind were in control of the whole flock.
see he still has 1 of the car's hes x sold the other 1

That ad still makes me smile.
But, that's not his very unique 'Ferrari style doors' Kitt. In fact, in a few shots, you can see this unique signature upon the dashboard. Now, they might have been doing that elsewhere, as well. But, during the Las Vegas Knight Rider convention this one year, this show had gathered a whole lot of the original cast and crew, including KITT's designers. And, these people all went around and put their John Hancock's in silver ink upon choice dashboards of the better KITT replicas that were there. In fact, if memory serves, there was mention of whose Kitt was used for this ad on the boards. Wonder if I can scrape that post up?
Ugh...I don't have all day to go through over 4,000 listings. Oh, well. But, I did find this. https://youtu.be/SiSSo9EQrmU
Seems that it's harder then it seems to track down facts over fiction, where he is claiming to have built his own replica...as if he never received a gift KITT from back in the day. Curious.
In fact, I have pondered over that ad if Hasselhoff really does own an American home up in the Hollywood hills or if that was just borrowed/rented for filming at. Because I have personally driven up in that area and those tight, curvy roads with tons of houses are exactly what is seen in that video. He probably wouldn't have brought his personal KITT(s) to America, anyhow.

one of the videos on YouTube that shows the car show in Vegas thay have a kit car which they explain was purchased from David Hasselhoff's wife and is 1 of the 2 hero cars from the series. The owner of the car. Explain she sold a car after the divorce and that she had one and at the time Hasselhoff had one. I forget if he said what happened to the one that Hasselhoff had, but according to the story that was given during the interview. It was one of two vehicles that were used in the show. At least two of them one being given to David and want his wife after the ending of the show. I think there was even a joke about. Maybe we should contact David, and cf. He wants to sell his car.he has used several replicas but it is believed he still owns at least one whether it's from the show or a replica. He has one. I find it unlikely he has a home in that particular neighborhood do too . We all know he doesn't have that kind of money lol . It's like they were trying to say. He owns a Google smart home;) could you actually believe that? It wasn't even the same all as that cheesy Bluetooth add., If he had the Google smart home that appeared in and that was done a few years prior. He wouldn't be any of that Bluetooth staff. Basically, it would've been redundant. I if memory serves me heard that he does own place in Hollywood but I find it highly unlikely it is and one of the really expensive neighborhoods. I don't know if he still lives in the US or just stays there and lives in another country. I never really followed much of his life. The actor doesn't interest me that much. No offense to anybody who's a fan. I've actually considered purchasing one of the Knight Rider autographed pictures given they sell for all of three dollars on eBay.ive considered looking for one of the Knight Rider albums except for the part. I never really liked David Hasselhoff being plastered on the cover of the album trying to look like a rock star.
David does pop up every now and then with these 'charity auctions' where he sells off personal belongings. I hear the amounts really go sky high, though.
As for the Hollywood home, I always found myself doubting that he was filming that ad at his own home. After all, fanatics might try to stalk him there. This world and all it's satellite cameras could probably make locating the place far too simple. However, from comments on the board, it is known that David has frequented Disneyland...just as another visitor; not business related. I also don't believe that Smart Home ad featured his residence, either. It doesn't look right to the footage done by media when he was selling things for charity.
As for David's financial situation; I've really no idea what he truly is worth. After all, when NBC was ready to drop Baywatch after it's initial season, David stepped in and majorly financed the series, seeing the potential and retooled it into the legendary success that it became. And, he sells things for charity; not his own profit. And, on a slightly more personal note, I know the man visited my home town to pick up an actor's award for lifetime achievement. It was hosted by my home town's movie society and the event was hosted at the only place worthy, the local Indian casino. Right after the event ended, he barely had any time to linger, as he was due to appear somewhere else in a whole different country. And, this was about less then two years ago. The man seems very busy. Although a current KRO moderator was there to celebrate the event, I tend to hypothetically kick myself for not going with the thought of going after the region's best pizza to be found in the evening, served at that very casino. (Because I never heard a word about the award.)
And...his music. No sir. Not a fan of his singing career.
And, I bet you'd be interested in catching this. https://youtu.be/8bVSEDZ7dTs

from what I heard over the years he was bankrupt. At one point, and that's why he keeps taking these cheesy greasy little rant jobs. He keeps doing Internet ads for pretty pathetic products lol and he did a song for kung furey and a music video and did a really cheesy cameo in the movie ;) in the cop's car is a shitty kit rip off computer;) camed Hasselhoff 5000 and it has a litel cgi David Hasselhoff face and the cop keeps telling it opened the door. Dave and it answers back. I won't open the door and after some arguing the little computer says did no 1 ever tell you not to hassle the hof?.
I completely forgot that they did a cartoon series that has . Technically karr as a third character in the series ;) I rate off the top of my head can't remember the name of the cartoon but it's a private detective and his sidekick who someplace got his hands on the computer out of karr and installed it in his little gremlin car;) if you can imagine the insult of that car with the red Knight Rider scanner light in the front and the computer system in the car lol . With most of the old Knight Rider toys built into the rusting badly damaged little crappy car. The show lasted for like one season and I can't remember the name of it. Or I'd look at out for you on YouTube. It was like 10 years ago. Something and hoop jon and hoop or daved and hoop . I forget the name of the first part of the show all the second part of the name was hoop ,hoop was the guy who built the gremlin with the Knight Rider computer and it. It even had the name karr on an someplace.

The downside of becoming famous is that it does tend to place oneself into a limited category. Like the old saying in Hollywood goes, wanna-be actors bus tables to get by until being discovered. Alas, once fame finds you, it's not like you can go back to busing tables. Your face is out there. Wherever you go, you carry around with you this baggage of characters that the public knows you as. Many jobs become impossible to step back down to. And the life of an actor(ess) that has found fame may very well mean work for a year and maybe a few years off until the next gig. Unless they get rather lucky and can keep getting jobs in acting. Hollywood can stereotype really badly, too. So, an actor(ess) must be super careful to select the right roles...at risk that they will be playing those roles for the rest of their life. Get locked in to one type of role and a select job tanks that slot, then the future income can look grim, indeed. To think about it, what is it truly like to not have a stable job if you aren't crazy enough to do anything. (I was going to reference Baywatch. But, his IMDb page shows that the man has really been keeping busy. Heh...Sharknado 3...really?)
I know a little bit more about acting than I probably should. Frankly, I'm getting too old but I still would like to get into acting. It's just one of those jobs. It's really hard to get into. i believe it or not by not taking that advice. I was somebody and 1 year i didn't go to this stupid college acting class ,if i did I would've had worked for the next 15 years! . How's that for irony?nearly every student that took the class that year participated in this stupid little or no budget project a couple of years later. The rights were At that time purchased by a small studio here in Canada, and it became a series as well as a bunch of movies with little to no budget. And despite this sad franchise has made millions of dollars. A couple of the actors from the original series got together wean the show was droped do to a lot of fighting. A few years ago they were basically having trouble where they got typecast for that one series so they literally turned their characters into a new franchise lol they got a hold of the rights from the show and created a company they calls swear net. Basically, they have tried to do acting, and other projects but it's almost always bit parts so they just went back to what they enjoy doing and that particular project requires little to no acting skill and yet they are making really good money off of it. They're not rich or famous and they can go to the store like everybody else without being mobbed by the brass but they're making enough to get by and enjoy what they're doing. Bruce Campbell is somebody who I always think about when it comes to getting involved in acting. How much does anybody want to bet you're going to say who is Bruce Campbell and then have to go and Google him. Bruce Campbell is one of the most famous actors in the world that most people don't know and could probably still there. Coffee on him while waiting in line at a gas station. Tell him off and be on their way without even knowing the difference. He's actually not a bad actor and he's been in over 150 movies and television series. He's directed something like 30 movies I've forgotten how many scripts he's done that led to small movies. He owns a small production company and he's also done voiceover work for cartoons and video games. I'm going to basically tell you who Bruce Campbell is because you mentioned those words typecasting. I'm willing to bet if I said evil dead Bruce Campbell you would say ooo yaa that guy. Bruce Campbell's first acting job. He did it as a favor to his brother in law, saying he'd never do it again. The entire experience went through about a week of pure hell. And as I understand it had even less acting training than I do. That particular movie is one of about 20 all-time most famous horror movies ;) and, ironically, was one of the very first to be put on VHS purposes, which is what ended up making the movie so famous in the first place.
David Hasselhoff is actually not that bad a actor. It's just he's got a few problems. From what I understand it's mostly his drinking that causes him employment problems. Furthermore, as I understand he can be a real difficult to deal with temperamental pain in the ass. He's had bit parts in about 50 or 75 movies in the last 20 years, most of which you probably have never even seen. I believe I mentioned as an example, he was in Nick fury, agent of Shield in the 90s, and I'm willing to bet you've never even seen it. It was one of the better parts. He managed to score after being in Baywatch. Unfortunately, the movie never got the audience. It was looking for and was meant to be a pilot for a series which was about 10 years ahead of its time. If that same project would've been launched about a year or so before Samuel L Jackson started playing the role as Nick fury , odds are David Hasselhoff would be presently working, playing the role. He really looked the part. Back in the 90s and he did a pretty good job playing the part of this very cranky disgruntled angry former government employee that just didn't want anything to do with working for the government anymore. It was a very different version of shield then most people are presently familiar with today. And back in the 90s, the whole dark, gloomy antihero haven't really caught on yet.
Usually when Hasselhoff gets a role. It's making fun of himself. He did a small part in a movie about a limo driver about a year back, where he plays a very disturbed version of themselves in the movie. He basically played David Hasselhoff.psychotic angry, disgruntled pissed off actor. His little part in the movie you would've had to have seen it to get the point I'm trying to make.
Adam West. I still feel bad for because of the way he ended up getting typecast.
Whenever he gets work. It's almost always in some way connected to BaTman in a satirical light.
they actually had him driving a replica of the 1960s Batmobile turned into a taxi in one movie. Not that long ago and they went as far as him giving a superhero a left and he tried to give said person A, autographed picture and the passenger said why would I want a taxi drivers, autographed headshot? Could you imagine a twentysomething year old, basically due to the Justice league type character getting a lift in the 1960s Batmobile not having any idea what the car even is or who Adam West is?.
a guy in a reality TV show walked into a pond shop with the red phone from the 1960's batman show and Brent Ward and he i bleve wanted 500 for it;). thay wouldn't even give the guy $100 , claiming they could buy the phone on eBay for ared 25.00 and have it sind at the next convention in Vegas for like 50.00! . I wanted to basically reached through the television grab the owner of the pond shop and smash his head against the counter! Brant Ward has been dead for years . So how are you going to get his autograph? and for that matter , a telephone like that from the 1960s, you can't get cheep on ebay late alone it's the same modle and the old TV show and signed by 2 acter's . They had a guy even come in and authenticate the autographs.
do you do they not realize how rare or something like that is to come across . Even if you can't prove it's the show ! with Brent Ward being dead It made it that much rarer A, item 2, crossed even the so-called autograph authentication guy never said a word about Brent being dead.
i am not a varey good acter but i am not bad eather;) and What I wouldn't mind doing is a few small roles. I'm not looking to do anything and get to famous just have some fun.
the guy Borealis who you probably know as Angel the vampire detective or agent booth from boons was a painter in California and he got a job painting. Some producers Home and i thank it was buffy the television series that was his first job that he get the audition doto he painted the producers house and producer said for him to come to the audition. He kind of looked like what they were looking for ;). emagen how sad that is? you've got people going to the same audition that have been basically four years trying to get work and some guy that was painting some house gets the job;). He's done other jobs but buffy is the main role. He's remembered for. He was a costarring character in the crow 3 or 4 after he did Angel the series as an example. A lot of people are surprised he hasn't got more work as the Green Lantern ;) was doing the voice of the Green Lantern for one of the cartoons. he is a big Green Lantern fan and they've been making jokes about that in different roles. He's had.
Usually the trick with acting is to get a few small roles that help you get by and pay the bills and have a little bit of fun with it without actually getting to famous. I find a lot of actors that become really famous seem to end up getting really ignorant about their fame and turned into complete jirks or within a few years they end up being worse off then before they ever got into acting. i am not big on stage acting it;s alout harder than film and anybody who thinks otherwise is either lying or full of it;) . That's why a lot of actors will tell you they consider theater acting to be real acting.
I'm not that great at reading scripts and remembering lines but believe it or not I'm one of those people that is basically screwed up enough that they can pretty easily become anyone of a number of Characters, It's just a matter of having a rough idea of the personality type. After that I can usually pretty much wing it.used to scare the teacher and my drama class because out of about 50 students. There were only two, including myself, that actually put anything into it and there was times he was a little worried. I might've been a split personality lol. i think I told him at some point . The trick is to be crazy enough and not crazy to the point that you're wearing a straitjacket ;). most of the best actors are borderline nuts that is how thay can literally for a couple hours or more a day completely Become somebody else.tricck is too be able to turn it on and off.ide nover be able to sit down and read a big script basically i do good to do a few pages at a time. From what I understand I don't know how much truth there is to this but most actors nowadays jest what ever seen. They're doing read it a few minutes before actually doing the scene . A lot of actors from what I understand, don't read the whole script anymore. I've heard of some alone, even going as far as their lines are on cards off camera in case they forget a line. A couple of actors. I am quite for milieu with their careers and they don't actually even bother with scripts basically, depending what role they're doing. They wing it as they go lol . That's not a joke . They just basically get a rough idea for the character and from there . Play along as they go. if you can bleve it;) if you ever seen hobo with a shotgun the drug dealer in the beginning of the movie who gets his head cut off is one of the actors. I'm talking about . He's had bit parts in quite a few movies where he plays a drug dealer or a bodyguard and they've gotten to the point they usually don't even give him much of a scrapped. They just let him louuse ad film;) .the guy's a riot ;) and usually every third word out of his mouth is a obscenity lol he maes too do this stupid accent that makes him sound like he's mentally handicapped to go with it lol and hes hilarious. he get' lots of little jobs that most people don't recognize and he get's payed has fun and moves onto the next little jobs somewheres else.he mostly does projects in Halifax, Nova Scotia.he is one of the guys that went to that acting class that I never went to back in the 90s because I thought there was no work for actors and, Nova Scotia ;).hes not fames but he get's work;)

They just let him louuse ad film;) .the guy's a riot ;) and usually every third word out of his mouth is a obscenity lol he maes too do this stupid accent that makes him sound like he's mentally handicapped to go with it lol and hes hilarious. he get' lots of little jobs that most people don't recognize and he get's payed has fun and moves onto the next little jobs somewheres else.he mostly does projects in Halifax, Nova Scotia.he is one of the guys that went to that acting class that I never went to back in the 90s because I thought there was no work for actors and, Nova Scotia ;).hes not fames but he get's work;)
I know he's a little heavy on makeup. These duties. You've got to remember he's damn near 70. I seen him a while back without makeup and he looked like an extra from a Romero, movie I don't know how much of his hair is real or hear pice but he's nearly all gray and he basically looks like a shriveled up mommy. I suppose we all get old at some point I just don't think other than that one interview I've ever seen him without hair dye and makeup. One of the things I've always respected him for is he never stopped living like a normal person. He's been driving the same cheep $500 truck and living on the same firm out in the middle of nowhere for practically forever. I've seen multiple behind-the-scenes interviews filmed out where he lives and the track is kinder hard mass lol last interview I seen was four or five years ago and he still had that old Red Ford or maybe it was A GM My memory isn't that great but it was an old truck with a nice big dent in one side. He's one of those actors that can literally go to the post office and get his mail and nobody bats an eye or shoves a camera up his ass. frankly, like I said, I'd love to get into acting and just have fun with it. Not looking to get famous. Just make enough to survive and have some fun.
So that special movie that was all about him held a lot more truth to it then I had suspected. Mean, I have heard of famous people that get by in near rural conditions. It can be a rough business to make a real living at.
And, I actually didn't realize his real age.
Some things about the movies can be fun. Depends on the part. After all, I heard of a football movie that demanded the extras stay in the bleachers for a better portion of the day, cheering their voices into a state of being worn out...while they simulated the state of a downpour of rain. Just for those far away shots that don't even show any real detail. That doesn't sound like some of the 'fun' that can be found in the movies. And, sometimes people have to shave off all their hair or do other crazy things. Like this one vampire flick that came out a year or two ago. The stars got to say their lines while in the backdrop, extras stood still and almost (or perhaps completely) naked as the plot stated they were being milked dry of their blood. And, who knows how long they had to just stay there in position. Or, there was this role on a TV show that ProJared was talking about that he had landed. Seems the TV show thought he was great on his YouTube show and invited him out for a day of filming. The guy literally had to pay his way there and do a mock version of his show. Filming took several hours and all he got paid in was a fresh set of clothes. I bet as far as the TV show goes, he just stands there on some monitor on the set and talks while the computer speakers are muted.

I could tell you stories I've heard, where actors or I should say extras did good to get $40 and a corned beef sandwich and they thought they were doing great. That's not a joke! i am referring to a friend of mine who was called in to be a consultant i bleve you call it. he was the guy thay ask to give them details about what it wood be like after a nuclear fallout and thay had hem hangared to fill the roster of extras where they were people shortand he get i blive it was 40 box and a Sand wedge. Trailer park was. If you're familiar with it god the lower stories those actors could probably tell you ;) from what I understand, some of them originally not only weren't being paid but thay wear helping pay for the show to get done and ended up somehow getting all that the rights to show after it was canceled and started their own small network nd now work with Netflix and brot the show back. Basically, in order to get work. They got together and work something out with Netflix because individually they were each having trouble getting work but it's the 1 usually successful project. They all worked on for years.it has like no budget and it literally generates millions lol. Nothing surprises me when it comes to things that are done to extra in movies lol. thar basically treated like rented meet.
I've heard about an old drive-in film named "Manos: The hands of fate." Horrible movie and really was all about signals for those that made out in cars. But, almost every actor was never paid, because they all agreed to get paid in 'rights' to the film. Movie was a flop. So, no profits. In fact, it's considered the best paid actor for that film was the dog that got a good meal, afterwards.
Yup. It's from MST3K that I learned about this movie. Trust me. Even they can't help make it entertaining. Truly a film that did it's job to the show's premise of pure torture. So, just avoid in any form. Trust me on that. Never had a film spark an interest in committing suicide over. Thankfully, that was a one and only time for that very dark sensation.
And, I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan. Feel lucky that I can catch a few random episodes from YouTube. But, I generally know little more then that there's been a few cast changes during their many years of running.

It was an in-joke comedy spot. If memory serves, Michael was driving down some road, complaining about a lousy day. Kitt says something in return about being able to counter that. The shot goes to that dash board and 'AUTOVAC' lights up. Then, Michael's facial expression is worth a million. Played out in that same way that adult humor is conveyed in so many of these PG comedies would do it.
The car always did have a soft spot for animals.
The doggy most certainly
would have died, had the
animal catcher caught
and driven it off to the
pound, after all. And, that just
goes against Kitt's programming
to allow harm to come to another,
after all...
Let's not talk about the cat...
