Not the friendliest of creatures, Kelpies are creatures of ancient Scottish Mythology and known for their rather insatiable appetite for humans. What may have started as a way to guard horses from being stolen if let loose along rivers to water and feed, turned into the nightmare inducing stories we know today.

Imagine being a weary traveler along some distant road. You come to an area that is by a river, a gentle but deep river with plenty of lush greenery all around it. Near the river a gorgeous well maintained and healthy looking horse. Your feet ache, your back is killing you from carrying that ol blanket pack all day. It would be nice to just ride on the back of such a lovely creature for a while.

As you approach the horse you are just within arms reach when... it turns into a treacherous monster and bites your arm dragging you to the depths of the river to drawn and eat you alive. Yah... all the pretty horses. Right.
