I was just walking across campus, and I spotted this ear ring. Apparently someone had dropped it, and I took the opportunity to set it in a convenient spot beside the path. There is a large basalt rock in that particular spot, and a crack in the side of it that fit the ear ring just perfectly. Hence, this shot. I like the way the silver and the dark contrast.
