The day didn't so much start for Zelex, it was more like the clocks had reset to 00:00 for the region he was in. For Zelex, this meant continuing on doing what he was doing... So he ate the clock. As well as most everything else on the computer.
It was in his basic viral instincts to do so; the consumption of data WAS a part of him that defined him. It was only the intelligent A.E. that kept him from being a mindless bot that would devour the internet instantly. Instead Zelex could get a far bigger meal, by being smart. By leaving just enough data still intact as to be recovered, whomever owned all of this would fix everything, maybe add a few tasty antivirus protections. So the next time that Zelex visited, there would be a greater feast!
With that computer properly rampaged it was time for Zelex to find some entertainment. And it seems like there was a perfect source of entertainment just on the other side of the world wide web. Another vulnerable anti-virus system and firewall and another snack for Zelex. This time harassing a digital artist. Not even doing anything terribly malicious (mostly so the pesky anti-malware wouldn't act up), just denying the user access to the art program. Maybe just maybe adding some of his own artistic talents to the piece. Not that the artist could stop Zelex, from doing so.
Hmm so much to do in the timeless entity of the digital internet. Plenty of the "day" for Zelex to still enjoy! Maybe another snack...
And there we have it. A day, er, morning, er, evening, ah whatever it is when you can travel around the world almost instantly, in the life of Zelex. Alef did a great job on showing off Zelex's personality here. Highlighting his mischevious, voracious, and viral aspects wonderfully!
And why yes. Keep your security up to date. Unless you want to have this guy rampaging through your computer!
