Another oil painting done in IB Art. Yes, that is Katakana Japanese, though I have since lost the translated names.
I was studying Julie Bell's art work, and she is a fantasy artist known for her "silver-skin" technique. Intrigued, I wanted to experiment with this. I thin thought it would be especially cool if I employed it in drawing a prehistoric animal (i.e. a raptor), for a past-meets-future look. Thus the idea is this dinosaur was zapped through time and its skin turned to a flexible silvery substance that behaves as its regular skin would.
And yes I'm aware that it has no teeth.
