so I've been playing the Rare Replay recently, that collection of (most) all the Rareware titles ever made. Nyx the Nintendo properties obviously.
And while I was SUPER HYPED for it, I have to kinda admit...
kinda had my nostalgia goggles on. I didn't really find myself that enthused in Banjo or Conker or Blast Corps, etc etc. Not to mention the Xbone runs them on an emulator, so it kinda causes some slowdown.
BUT FUCK ALL THAT, BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT
FUCKING BATTLETOADS.
I had the most fun with that ironically. Both the original and the arcade game (both are on there.) Not to mention, you get Rash as a playable character in Killer Instinct if you get get the Rare Replay (though only for a limited time, since he's an early treat for season 3)
BUT ANYWAY

there's actually some heavy rumors that Rare wants to or is ALREADY working on a new Battletoads.
-the fact that Rash got an HD remodel on the Rare Replay box
-the Killer instinct addition
-secret mission in Shovel Knight exclusive to the Xbone
-Phil Spencer, the head of microsoft's Xbox development has been wearing a battletoads shirt lately and says he's really fond of the franchise
though that all could've just been leadup to the Replay and KI, so here's to hoping
