In an attempt to learn how to control her chaotic abilities Zeek has been training with Metal. One thing Zeek tends to have a problem with is her focus. A single stray thought has now ripped a hole in the fabric of reality. Metal is of course annoyed by this. Then again it does explain how this happened.
