One of the major projects I'd wanted to pursue was a webcomic series called "EFF" - short for "Extraordinarily Fat Furries" - a series of strips in the same vein of humor as the syndicated comic "Pluggers" and Jeff Foxworthy's collection of "You Might Be A Redneck" one-liners.

In my case, the visual jokes are usually accompanied by a comment about many an obese beast. Example: "An 'extraordinarily fat furry' may wear an extra-large and extra-stretchy 'jersey', but it cannot conceal a belly the size of Texas!"

In preparing for this series, I'd doodled some of the proposed images (using a ball-point pen), before redoing them in pencil and fine line ink. The following image was one such demo I never had the opportunity to capture in a single panel. So, I'd decided to scan the doodle and add a few 'touch-ups' (c/o my Paint.net program). And the comment to go with said image is "You know you're an 'extraordinarily fat polar bear'... when the other Arctic critters show home movies on your butt!"

(NOTE: The original gag idea was going to have a penguin showing slides on this polar bear's posterior, but I didn't want to get into a flap with the 'politically correct' crowd - who'll tell me that penguins are from the South Pole and polar bears are from the North Pole. Besides that, slide projectors are now a defunct item... about as 'endangered' as polar bears themselves!)
