In tribute to Disney's Oliver and Company, which turned 20 on Tuesday, a look at one of the possible (but improbable) futures for Jeremy and Mandy.
I haven't shown it yet in the strip, but Jeremy already owns the scooter part of this device. It's modeled after the ones in the Grand Theft Auto games.

Wow, 20 years, makes me feel old. I remember as a kid having the Oliver and Company soundtrack on cassette, and listening to it falling asleep, and while sleeping. I got into the habit of, while asleep, reaching out, ejecting the tape, flipping it over, reinserting it, and pushing play, so I could continue listening. That reflex has been my nemesis ever since, as compared to operating a cassette player, disarming an alarm clock while still remaining unconscious is a piece of cake.
Oliver & Company now makes me cry, not just because of "Once Upon a Time in New York City" and "Good Company," but because of all those shots of the World Trade Center.
But don't get me wrong, i still like the movie. (That Rita is very hot, for a cartoon.) I just prefer not to watch it. At least not until it gets a sequel.
