Gloom Wolves harbour a very unpleasant secret. If one of them should be become fatally damaged, it has the charming ability to spew up its own insides, like a hermit crab abandoning its shell. It can then carry on as a living, if very gloopy, creature, as quick and vicious as its outer skin.

However, these creatures cannot survive very long in the open air, and so will quickly search for a new host. Should they manage to catch one, they will force themselves inside, usually through the mouth, hollow out the unfortunate victim's body, and make themselves at home.
