this happened before we got there!
there was a mile of trucks waiting to go which was a 4 hour wait!
All other vehicles were being diverted at the Odessa Exit to get on US 30
there was a 5-6 mile long traffic jam which I'm sure got longer within the 4 hour wait time
no deaths but 3 sent to hospital

nebraska, no wonder i didn't recognize it. not an area i know anything about. idly i wonder why weren't people having to wait four hours, redirected to go some other way around. accross the divider to go the other way, then off onto some older slower long way around road that could have gotten them where they wanted, instead of having to just sit.
