I didn't meet him in person. But there was a big convention with many of the actors and Gene Roddenberry at MSU in 1974. And William Shatner was one of the actors who attended. I sat near the middle walkway and was close by when he and the others walked by. And being something like 14 at the time. It was a real cool experience at that age.
