Ah, sadly, many of the images I based some of my older IZ pixel arts off of were created by a close friend of mine, who recently deleted her art from online, so that's why the links won't go through any longer. She's a wonderful artist but needed to take a step back from social media for a while. Like me, the fandom was giving her some anxiety, and so she deleted her DA account, as well as all her other online accounts as well.

That's a shame. :c And I bet. Awe that really sucks. > <

It is a real shame. :< But at the end of the day, I'd rather she have some peace of mind when it comes to her work rather than keeping it up just to please others. If it was causing her anxiety in the long run, she has every right to make the final call in regards to whether she wanted it to continue being public or not.

Right?! And yeah. :c Also she could disable the comments too honestly. So she doesn't have to deal with it much, people shouldn't be picking on her art like that either, like her art is super nice. I have never seen or heard of people picking others within the fandom like this, I find it strange though that people are doing that. But then again, every fandom is sadly toxic in some ways.

Anyway, I hope she is alright and hopefully someday she can reopen again, once the fandom calms down?

Well, for her, it's not so much about her receiving any hateful comments or anything like that. More like, she's been in the fandom for a long time also and recent activity in it has kind of scared her off from wanting to share her work online any longer. Unfortunately, the internet is all about cancel culture nowadays. Her work was pretty tame overall, but after seeing the way people would attack others over their interests, she really didn't want to risk that happening to her. Like me, she's a ZADR fan, and that particular ship has become the target of some especially intense hatred in recent years. I'm not surprised she got a little scared off by it. Trust me when I say she's doesn't dislike IZ though. She just wants to keep her interests a little more under the radar nowadays. She still shares things with me in private from time to time, and we've been roleplaying for well over10 years now also. I don't know if she'll ever feel comfortable coming back to share her IZ works again though, unfortunately. She doesn't want to defined by the works she posted in her late teen/early 20 years.
